How in the world is the streaming table not completely sealed off from the rest of the gaming floor? Anyone with even a modicum of preserving game integrity and security instincts should be able to identify that even before your card room starts their first livestream.

No, that’s the interesting part of it - it wasn’t a streamed game. Or at least the article doesn’t say that it was. They snuck an rfid deck into a regular game, and had a handheld device to read the cards.
I’d love to see more details, because I have questions.

That's even more concerning that decks / setups used at the venue aren't protected at all times. This is about as Mickey Mouse of an operation as you can get at this point.

last I heard, Texas does not have a card room gaming commission. If, that is still true, it is the wide west for operators, players, etc.

No rules to follow…anything goes…heck the operators could be in on it.
