OK. Then I apologize for being condescending in response to your posts. Sometimes I assume (incorrectly) everyone kind of knows the history of these buys.

You have to know that these orders are pretty big deals to those who are involved in them. People are risking serious $$$ at a possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get their own set of Paulsons. Posting specifics/details of how to get an order through could risk any other ongoing efforts and destroy established relationships with GPI, which means risking other people's time and hard earned money.

In short, it's just not wise to share details. One, for the sake of other people's money. Two, to avoid the nonsense/drama. And three, since I think it needs to be said, it's just really none of our business.

EDIT: I'd be happy to discuss more via PM. I just really think these public arguments about details need to stop. There are likely ongoing attempts at orders at this very moment, and it would be very unfortunate if this thread sandbagged those attempts.

I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t buy off in it for two seconds. I’m not advocating for any kind of intentional sabotage to a buy, but to tell others to back off because I/my group might get a buy through is ridiculous. The people fortunate enough to do it then turn around and make huge gains off the less fortunate. You’re telling the less fortunate to stay away so the fortunate can realize their profit and gains?? That’s at least how it comes across. And for you to say you haven’t been a naysayer to other potential endeavors is far off. I have watched you post for close to two years how the feat will never be done, and for nobody else to waste their time trying. How many have happened since you started with that mantra?

No one expects any Paulson chip to ever be sold at cost, why would anyone ever risk their financial interest for zero profit?
It is just Fantasy land to think someone would have an "IN" & create a large order and then sell them on this forum for say - double their money?

Purely for arguments sake - Wouldn't even posting the chips existence on this site (which we know GPI/Paulson does know about) do the same given that it's a custom order under an easily searchable name in their company system which is likely directly connected to the vendor involved with processesing the order?

To be fair I assume many members/organizers of the AS/ES/PS group buy understood this and had the (unrealistic) expectation that no one would post pictures/sell their set in the beginning At least that seemed to be the case.

Well, I for many years have sold chips at the same price I paid for them plus shipping. If I am selling to someone that I trust and have befriended I will most likely sell them at what I paid for them. I have sold many chips at my cost to other members and have seen those same chips relisted within a week and sold for profit. I think I will continue to sell to those "Friends" and non flippers at great prices because they will generally offer me "first right of refusal" at their purchase price. I might be selling some chips in the future and making them available to all, so when I do they will either be auctioned off or sold at market price. Time to buy more Nevada chips!

That's awsome man. Im not being sarcastic I do really mean that.

I have also sold chips at cost and even given chips away that I could have sold and made good money on.

I hunt up chips on the internet regularly and sell them at a profit. I do try and keep the prices reasonable when I sell, and usually my for-sale adds are sold in just a couple mins. I also do alot of buying, selling and trading via PM. When I sell chips It is almost always to buy different chips that I want and cant find for cheap. I also keep alot of the chips that I find. Currently 4 out of my 6 sets were bought on one classifieds site or another for a good price. The other 2 sets were pretty expensive and I sold chips to get them.

My main point in my post above is that the buyers control the marketplace. I own 0 custom paulson chips. Not because I dont like them, but because the price is more than I am willing to pay. If none was willing to pay the high prices then the prices would come down. The recent custom chip sets are very nice, but give me leaded paulsons over them any day of the week. Throw in shaped and textured inlays, and to me atleast, there isnt really any comparison.

I hold no I'll will toward anyone. Do what you want with your chips, sell them for what you want, and pay for them what you think is fair. If you dont like the price a particular chip is selling for simply dont buy it.

Again, not really sure if you're reading my posts or not, or just confused by what I am saying?

I've made it very clear that people should contact GPI and try new ways to get orders done. I've even provided methods for starting the process, here in this very thread. I only advised caution as it pertains to keeping order details private. This is to avoid tipping off GPI staff who may be browsing this site, which may disrupt active orders. I've never told anyone to "back off."

As for attempting new orders, all I have to say is: "go for it."

I've openly advocated for people to contact Paulson to try their own orders in the past. Posting about it numerous times, in various threads.

Probably most important is because the statue of limitations hasn't run yet.

More than that, tho, is because if anyone could search Google and attempt the same plan, it probably makes accomplishing a private but less likely... Paulson would get wise pretty quickly.

Again, if GPI is actually monitoring this forum, photos of these sets is all they need. Everyone involved is documented in their internal records.

Would also be interested in this, or if it happened in any of the other cases. Granted, if a GPI employee did something knowing it was not in line with policy, that's a bit on them - though it would behoove me as a buyer in such a case to tread very carefully in terms of putting my chips out there for the world to see... really a bit of a catch 22 in that obtaining custom chips is something I'd want to share with the whole chipping world, but without causing unnecessary trouble.

Discretion really does appear to be the better part of valour in some cases.

Those people who are upfront with GPI and try to get them to make you a set, I have no issue with. It's worth a shot. For those who try and deceive or our fraudulent, I have a word of warning for you. I have dealt with just about every gaming commission in the country and I can tell you from experience, these people are very serious and do not take issues of fraud lightly. This is currency and meant for casino operations only. Anyone who travels down this road is subject to very serious fines, legal fees and potentially more. The risk is just not worth it for some chips. Also, the reputational damage to Paulson is great and they will protect it with their team of lawyers. Additionally, anyone who would potentially deceive a sales person at GPI and risk the sales persons livelihood, for your own selfish desires, is a very low person. I couldn't imagine doing that to another person.
Everything I do is completely above board, with a painstaking amount of time and the best gaming attorney in the business. Contrary to previous comments, these fraudulent deals do not hurt my sales, in fact they only serve to drive prices higher. I post this only as a warning to those who are trying to cheat the system. No dog in any of these "discussions" but the current seller has posted two auctions with (what I thought) were exceptionally low opening prices (by forum decree, his actual reserve). Not his/her fault if people are willing to pay a price someone else thinks is unreasonable, outrageous or can't afford.
