How important are lot numbers on the chips? I have about 80 of these Pioneer Club chips with several different lot numbers. I see them on eBay for $9 and $32 each for the same lot numbers. Are there other artifacts on the chip that may justify such a spread?

They were a limited edition, and some chips say so, and use a number on each chip…so they’re not lot numbers but consecutively-numbered limited chips.
My guess is these are limited to 1,000 or 1,500, 2,500 etc. but usually the chips say how many there are in the series, these do not.
As far as the number, collectors (of most collectibles) tend to value the very lowest numbers more than others.

Some collectors go after specific serial numbers either because it's their favorite or to fill-in or build a sequential set. Otherwise, the numbers don't really mean much.
