So let’s set up the scenario for what ever reason you need to restart your game. There are zero expectations and you might have a pool of 10-30 players. What would be your dream goal?

Are we going cash or tournament ? Single tournaments or series?
How often would you host?
How is your dream hosting different from the hosting you do today?

We're lucky in southern michigan. I have a great group of regulars. I think the only thing I would change is the frequency of hosting. I'd love to be able to have a game every other weekend.

Interesting would you like to host the same game / stakes every other weekend?

I primarily host .25/.50, $100 max buy in, dealers choice. I mix it up occasionally with a $4/$8 limit and a $1/$1 NLHE/Big O r x r $200 max buy in.

I would probably be happy with that mix of structures.

I would love to host a mix of micro-stakes (.05/.10) mixed (circus) cash games, 2-3 table $50-$100 NLHE tournaments, and .25/.50 NLHE cash games.

I think that I might have a big enough pool for the NLHE variants. Not many of the available pool seem very interested in the mixed games (sadly).

The dream would be

No limit Holdem on Saturday nights 1-2 tables .25/.50 and 1/2 and with a tournament once a month where people registered during a BBQ lunch and there were 3 tables before our cash game

AND

2x a month 5-6 regulars play a game of limit games. Limit stud variations, Tahoe, plo, limit hold em.
