Sold HSI Primary (Used) Set. (2 Viewers)

So there is a time in everyone's chipping life cycle where the lease runs out on the sets they own and to find a new home for them.

For me, the curtain has come on the first Paulson set I've put together.

Details.

First and Foremost. This is not a dibs sale.

Id, like to use this opportunity to help out the community by giving priority to helping those that have been trying to put together / complete their HSI sets, as well as any chipper who has helped me along the way. So PCFers who have wanted ads, PCFers who have constantly missed out on dibs sales, PCFers who have helped me out in the past, PCFers who can evidence how a rack or barrel will complete their set will get the first bite at the cherry. At this stage, due to the different options to have priority Ill be using my discretion how I decide who gets what. I'll leave this open for a few days to give people enough time to see the ad.

Full disclosure. I'm undecided at this stage whether or not to keep a small playable set for myself. Depending on interest level and my own separation anxiety.

If you don't meet the requirement to get priority please post your interest and whatever is leftover I will use a random method to decide who gets the first option to buy.

Plan.

Whilst I have a strong preference to help as many people obviously there are obvious logistics involved so I will try to minimise postage where possible.

*The chips are currently located in Australia. On the assumption that most of these chips will end up back in the US, I will be shipping these to a reshipper at my cost for them to be reshipped to you locally at local prices. Happy to offer this to any other country should enough chips go to a particular country or continent.

I know this sounds more complicated than a normal sale but Im happy to take the extra work on it so I can get a favorable outcome for as many chippers as possible. If you are patient and willing to work with me I'm happy to work out the best way to make this happen.

Price.

Now for the prices and breakdown. Shipping not included* (Please see above regarding the management of shipping). Prices based on a combination of recent sales and my cost base. If I'm way off on anything please let me know via PM.

635 X $5 ($95 a rack)
220 x $25 ($95 a rack)
120 x $100 ($50 a barrel)
60 x $500 ($80 a barrel)
45 x $1K ($200 a barrel, $10 a chip)
8 x $5K ($12 a chip)
I also have some extras 1s,5s,25s & 100s available that I still need to work out totals of and will update totals.

All chips have been cleaned. 1s-25s in the US and 100s+ by hand.

If you need a canadian reshipper and I end up getting a decent number of chips I’d be up for the job as long as the total value isn’t sky high ( doesn’t seem there are too many Canadians buying ).
Important to note though is that whoever gets the initial shipment will be getting boned with duties so others would have to factor that in. Should be 13% from what I’ve read but I have no experience shipping to/from Australia.

Well if its not too late I would throw my name in the ring for a few racks. Might be able to host soon from the sounds of it, so I'd like to finish off my first real set. I'd definitely be interested in one or two racks of 1s and 5s. Also I'd take a rack of 25s and 100s of possible. just checked and there are 5 people from canada looking for chips in here.
so the order would easily be enough to fill a MFRB (or whatever the local equivalent may be) to minimize shipping costs.

Small update. Finally got all the info into a spreadsheet and I'm now trying to work out how best to slice up this pie to try and help out as many people as feasible.

Almost certainly, but I really respect your initial commitment to doing this in a way that would help people grow their sets. It’s people like you in collector communities that make the world a better place.

do you want help making a spreadsheet? there's more demand than supply for pretty much every denom so you just have to give me the parameters of what sized lots to break them into, ill give you the name list of names who've expressed interest and in what quantity, and then you can pull the trigger on the random number generator.

or if you're having second thoughts about the pricing/shipping - i can't speak for everyone, but i'd be fine with adjusted prices. tbh i'd prefer it since it would mean i'd be able to get more of what i want.

great to hear. not sure how the lottery is being done but seeing as there are now about a half dozen people jockeying for the 25's ideally i'd also put myself on the list for 5's (as many as possible). if your list is already complete no problem but if possible stick me in.

Not looking great for the European side of things by the sounds of it. Any idea what postage might be? And probably shooting myself a bit in the foot with this as reduces number of chips available but think you should keep a small set for yourself. if you regret it later it will suck and be a pain and expensive to replace. If you change your mind you can still sell them at a later date

LOL, the cost for shipping to Europe is no issue, i can’t buy these chips anywhere else than from the US right now...

Please rethink before you decide!

I think the issue is more that he said he’d bite the bullet on shipping to reshippers and another package going to Europe would be another international mfrb or equivalent for 2ish racks. If he wants to put euros into the pool I’m sure someone would be ok accepting on your behalf with the commitment of selling at same prices + international shipping + proportional share of shipping from reshipper (though at that point cost gets to wtf levels).
