Since I've been a scrub donkey waaaay too much since buying these chips, thought I'd share some comparisons I've been doing to justify all the work of cleaning the casino used chips. I'm really surprised at how good of condition they are in, I was expecting them to be on par with the casinos closest to me (Wendover, NV) which have beat-to-absolute-shit RHC chips. Ordered 600 more for craps and I've been a scrubbing!

Photos are a barrel of casino used, a barrel of hand cleaned, a barrel of cleaned then rolling edge hit with the magic eraser, and then a barrel of cleaned-eraser-light oil and maybe an hour of home craps play. The differences are more pronounced in person than I could capture in the photo on the reds, and the color difference is less severe on the greens - just faded/washed out for the clean and slightly less so on the magic eraser. Sorry I don't have a barrel of mint of either to throw in (feel free to send me one though! ;))

The reds left some color in the rinse water (left) but none in the soapy water (right), which also came off on the magic eraser. The greens didn't leave any color. Each photo here is after 1 rack. I don't think the pictures do justice to just how nasty the water really is. The color from the reds has me wondering how much "hooker juice" is actually clay material that has worn off the chip and collected with the grime. The reds all have a dark hooker juice spot and upon closer inspection, it has a reddish hue, whereas the greens have a more greyish hue on a lot of chunks of hooker juice. Shuffling the cleaned reds also shows quite a bit of red transfer onto the edge spots that can be rubbed off, but not easily. Just interesting observations.

Nice work.
You should get a bigger brush.

I should have gotten an ultrasonic, haha! If I could have justified it for ammo reloading I would have, but I already have a steel pin wet tumbler. Handles lots of brass but I'd never put chips in it. I tried a few larger brushes we had around the house but the toothbrush ended up being the most comfortable and effective, though I didn't shop for something that would have fit the purpose better.

What about the smell? Were u able to get rid of it? If so how?
Not completely, but it doesn't assault the nose when I walk in the room now. Have to actually be handling them to get any scent, and then it's mostly just on my hands. I've used baking soda in the past to get rid of cigarette smoke odor, but I haven't tried that on chips. Maybe worth a test on a few at only $0.59?

I bought one of these but haven't tried it yet. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BEUDWJQ/

Without disruptions I'm pretty quick, but I have just been doing it during downtime while working from home so I couldn't give an exact time. I'distractions 1.5-2 chips/minute without distractions
