is the chip okay?
All's well that ends well
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I paid $51 for the $500 chip. I was happy to pay it because it's the first one I've ever seen for sale. I have no idea what it's "worth."I'm a mite confused. I don't see a $51 chip in the picture. Was it a promotional chip?
And to answer your question directly - I'd probably ship it in an airtite placed in a bubble mailer since I haven't heard of too many $51 chips out there.
First line - more deadpan than sarcasm, but yes.I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.
I feel like I saw you list a $1k on eBay a while back and I don't remember it being filthy.Need a $1k chip? I have one. It's filthy (maybe beyond cleanable). It won't be cheap.
Hmmm... you sure that envelope wasn't empty?!
At the very least, I'd light him up on comments. Others should now how poorly he packages his shipments before they overpay for shipping too.
No padding or packaging of any sort. Mailed coast to coast. And as you can see from the picture, that chip was probably a couple of hours from busting right out of that envelope. Was the chip just dropped in without any wrapping inside or at least it was bubble wrapped inside that envelop?
The $1k and $5k are 43mm. I've seen a couple of $1k's - @links_slayer and I think I read that @Gear has one? I don't think I've ever seen a $5k. I read an old old post on the blue wall an eBay seller who claimed to have complete sample sets, but people thought that was sketchy.Lol packaging, but man that five hundo is nice! The whole lineup is super sick actually. What does the 1k look like?
I just bought 5 very hard to find Le Cove $500's (mint) off of eBay. Package arrived today.

The chips were dropped lose in a ziplock sandwich bag and then placed in a white business envelope. No plastic wrap, no bubble wrap, no tape, no cardboard, nothing. I picked up the envelope and immediately heard the clanging.
To my surprise, no visible damage that I've noticed yet, but seriously.
(And 5 more Le Coves rescued and brought back to the forum)
It boggles the mind doesn't it? Like I said above, you'd have to be an idiot or an asshole to ship chips in an envelope with no protection. And I'm leaning toward idiot 100%. Because even if you're an asshole and don't care about the buyer, you should still be smart enough to care about your own self interests to realize if the chips are damaged in shipment, you're losing your money and your chips. But honestly, who is that dumb?I just bought 5 very hard to find Le Cove $500's (mint) off of eBay. Package arrived today.
