I've been hosting cash games for quite a while now, but I've never hosted a tourney before. Was wondering if people use their cash game sets as tourney chips, or if the experience is significantly better with tourney chips.

Less headache with dedicated chips if that is a possibility. Reduces the chances ppl take your chips off the table for a cash game.

I find the experience better with tourney chips, especially if you up the amounts.

There is something satisfying about betting high amounts of "chips" (sometimes hundreds of thousands) that you would never bet in a cash game (maybe a few hundred).
