How do some of you afford.... (2 Viewers)

Also, you buy pieces here snd there and wait years. If you are building like 15 sets at once something almost always pops up. For a lot of us it’s building sets, not buying sets.

And you watch everywhere you can. Here, eBay, other poker sites, Craigslist, goodwill, estate sales, garage sales.

Feed other collectors. I don’t collect video games but I run across them and try to turn a buck with them. I know people that collect comic books and coins and all kinds of other stuff and I find good stuff and resale it to them or put it on eBay to fund my hobby. Heck, I sell stuff to the local antique stores.

Do it yourself. I like hot stamps, so I got a hot stamp machine. Got access to a good printer? Or a 3d printer farm? You can turn these into chips.

I get into too many damn hobbies for my own good. Between my newly discovered love for poker chips, warhammer 40k and MTG, I am leaving my kids multiple closets filled of goofy stuff I hope they find as fun as I do currently. But I am doing just that:

Invested into a nice but budget friendly home poker set and am planning on slowly building a really nice set for a larger cash game over the next few years.
