If you make it to Carolina Beach make sure to grab a few beers at the Fat Pelican.

LoL, my interest level has increased.

Total dive bar. Just beer and wine. You'd think it would just be bud light type stuff, but no. You go in the back into a refrigerated tractor trailer and it's full of different IPAs, stouts, etc and pretty good prices. Got Hopslam for $5 a can.

Crowd is all ages, from UNC-W students to grandmas. It's great.

Also you can smoke at Hooters on the deck on Market St and there's a cool cigar bar just down the road - Brookelynn Cigars/Rocco's Cigar Bar.
