THIS IS NOT A "DIBS" (first-come, first-served) sale.
1600 EUROS plus shipping [prepare for some expensive shipping nowadays if it's meant to be safe; at any rate all responsibility lies with the recipient], which is unmistakeably at my loss (I have always been selling at loss out of conviction).
I will sell to anyone I might like or to nobody at all. I will honour this price, though, and will NOT succumb to any sleazy higher offers.

These have been touched by Doyle Brunson and Stu Ungar (the eventual winner in the 1980 WSOP).
Heavy-leaded Paulson THCs, admittedly feeling and sounding better than anything.
I could part with them for the sole reason of still wanting to build just another personal custom set.

540 chips:
150x T5
150x T25
120x T100
90x T500
30x T1,000

Perfect for a 15-player T2,000 tourney with one re-buy, AND for deep 5/10 and 10/20 cent cash games, at no game-security risk.
More of them could be found at Spinetti's, at clearly higher (or a lot higher, for the bigger denoms) prices, though.

All of the chips are evidently casino-used, but in surprisingly very good condition, as such.
A large minority among them is thirsty for some oil (and some light cleaning, I would say).
I 'll let the pictures speak.

At any rate, anyone of you interested, please post here anyway, for the sake of transparency.

Forgot to mention that for the more affluent among you, these denoms could represent at least dimes, if not dollars:cool :ninja:

Lots of love and still no practical interest.
Mind you, masturbation is safe (emotionally and otherwise) but it can't give you the pleasure of intercourse, i.e. owning these and playing with them.

@upNdown you 've said you 're a die-hard leaded THC man, haven't you?

I am, bud, and I’ve always wanted a set of these. But the sad truth is, I never host tournaments. I’ve got a ceramic set on hand, just in case, but having that much money tied up in chips I’ll probably never use - that’s just not what I do.

If I eventually keep them, I 'll use them for tourneys once a year.
Much more frequent use would be .10/.20 cash with the "old friends' crew.

Lol, people throwing insane money at chickens tonight but zero interest in a genuine piece of poker history for $3.50 a pop? SMFH.

I love and would buy these, but they fit the exact same niche as my Four Queens tourney set.

Seriously, GLWS. Someone needs to come to their senses and buy these.

Agreed. I encountered the same thing when I tried to sell my Borland Dunes chips. Literally a one of a kind playable collection steeped in history and I couldn't get a bite. At only $2.50 a chip! I seriously don't even get what those chicken chips are? Aren't they just a custom set he put together? Or am I just ignorant?

The chicken chips are apparently a custom set from Paulson, ordered contemporaneously with the NAGB chips. And if I thought the beach set and the circus set looked like they were designed by monkeys with access to only crayola and cocaine, these are worse. AND because of whatever the seller is keeping and/or has sold quietly, what’s left and being sold to the masses probably can’t even be made into sets.

TL;DR - they’re custom Paulsons, but people are buying to relabel.

And you know I agree that these chips are way cooler that what catches people’s eyes these days.

OK, thanks. Now I at least understand WHAT all the hysteria is, even if I don't really understand WHY.

oh man.. these are really nice.. I might be able to give them a nice home if around long enough.. Save to assume ppff? gonna see what I can do. Pretty cool they were used by Stu amongst many others.

Is there anything I can do in the meantime? Don't want to get ahead of myself and assume I would be allowed to purchase regardless of funding. I really like these, and will likely replace the Fun Nite set I have for these. They would be used, and revered. I don't think I would ever sell..

And I will reach chipping karma.
After selling these and getting some more very personal customs, I will have nothing to sell for the rest of my life, unless homeless.
Packaging material in my study's closet will cease to take up space and will go to the recycle bin.
:)

Someone is going to get these chips and fall in love.
Love was at first sight, and that they are leaded too

Now I’m beyond stoked to get a game together and get these on the table. Feeling the most appropriate way would be to have a Bob Stupaks Vegas World 80’s themed, dress as your favorite player from the tourney Tourney. There are a lot of great memorabilia pieces available on eBay to throw in the mix as well. My birthday is on Halloween too, so have the perfect date with no excuses for dressing up.

I am curious if anyone knows what kind of blind structure/starting stack/level timing was used for the tournament. I realize I need to work with what I have, but would like to retain as much authenticity if possible. I’ve done a ton of searching, but hard to find detailed info. Even checked 2+2 as sklansky worked there, but no dice so far.. My best guess would be something long, flat, and slow to more resemble cash play, but I really have no idea.. no biggie either way just really excited to be able to play with and have this piece of history, so cool, and beyond excited…
