Help with CPC inlay design and actually having a phone conversation to make an order from them (2 Viewers)

I just needed some guidance o how to deal with a company that will not talk to you but only through e-mail. Wants all the money up front and can't finish the design without a third party from what i understand . That maybe funny if all you do is play around all day on here . But it is a large amount of money and they are only as custom as the communication will allow them to be .

When I ordered my customs, I worked with a designer here on the forum. Then I used the CPC chip design tool to build my set. When I was happy with both the inlay design and my chips designs, I placed the order with @David Spragg via email. You can ask all the questions you like before placing your order. I paid in full too.

This whole post went out of orbit , I just needed to figure out how to do an inlay . I've designed the chips on the tool provided . I use capslock at my job so apparentyly it appeared to offend everybody that stays on here all the time . I have the everything but an inlay design
People are just having a bit of fun with you. That’s the highbrow thinking that goes on here so enjoy the attention as something else will soon distract us and we’ll move on  :ROFLMAO:

I deal with @mattross1313 for my designs. Send him a message and see if he can help. A lot of designers are in demand and there’s usually a queue.

You haven't offended anyone. We are a bunch of idiots.

If you need a designer, that's an entirely different conversation. Quite a few around here that can help.

And I listed CPCs phone number above.

Good to know. I'd start a post asking politely for an inlay designer. There are some guys on here who do great work, and they are worth their wages. Additionally, I'd submit your chip lineup for some feedback in the Mockup sub-forum, just to make sure you're not making any glaring errors with your design. It's a big expense, so get it right.

Also, the caps lock thing is kind of funny, especially with the apparent level of urgency. :)

Everything started before christmas with designs . I have emailed the pro's that are listed and have not had any response .
I went back and forth with cpc until this point and didn't want to send payment without an approved complete mockup .
We couldn't get past them needing the money before the design was complete .

welcome!
the CPC journey is made more challenging without previously following the path we as the forum community have blazed.

I would encourage you to read through the new member link, you can find it in my signature.

Also don’t keep us in the dark let us know where in your journey you are. Do you have samples? What chips have you tried? What games have you spread? What break down are you going with? What inspirations do you have for your chip design? What are your key dislikes and likes?

Here's my take. CPC is the only company in the world that does what they do, and fortunately they do really good work. They have a waitlist a mile long and they work on short margins. My only dealings with the company have been for stock items, but those experiences have been good, customer service-wise. But frankly that surprises me, because even though of course they need their customers, I think the reality is that we (as individuals) need them a lot more than they need us.

They were probably trying to help you get in line for the next run of your chosen mold as opposed to you missing it and having to wait for a much longer time. You don't need a finished inlay design to place an order as long as you know your spots/colors for the chips because the inlays won't be printed until some point much closer to production. Preparing the chips themselves, however, has to be done by them months in advance by hand. What mold are you ordering? Also, David is usually the point person and is mostly located overseas so there is a significant time difference between when he is handling business and when you are. I have found him to be very responsive to all questions via email.

A-mold is always going for the most part. Not sure when large crown runs, but certainly no more than once a year.

@David Spragg is a SAINT to deal with. I trust him with every fiber of my being, that I will get exactly what I want. It took no less than 40 emails between us to get my chips exactly the way I wanted them. With his guidance, and his saintly patience, my chips were delivered and were beyond my expectations. He only wants the best for you and your final result. Trust him, he definitely knows his sh*t.

I have always liked paulsons because they hold their value but something about a custom chip at your home game is cool
Just curious why you would need 3000+ chips for a home game?

WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A PHONE CONVERSTION WITH SOMEBODY THERE TO DISCUSS PAYMENT AND INLAY DESIGNS . NEED HELP
256-289-1627

69% chance this is a phone sex number. 31% chance it's @Josh Kifer with a recording of his more scandalous continuous milling sounds.

Speak for yourself. You might be a bunch of idiots, the rest of us are one apiece.

That should definitely get lcrown in the queue again.

Lcrown is the Champagne of chip molds that actually have a crown in them

I trust him with every fiber of my being

To be fair, there are only 3 fibers of @Mesnik44 's being. The rest is made up of the digested souls of anyone he's ever crushed in a tourney

We play 2 tables sometimes . 5/10 NLH - 10/10 PLO - 10/20 NLH Minimum buy in is $2000 average is 5 to 10 . David did work with me over email . I didn't mean to misrepresent him or his company . I didn't know how complex all of this is and using only email seemed slow to me and still does about descibing something custom . I own an automotive repair shop and I'm used to talking sales over the phone . I know now that this is just how it is . We are all busy these days . Thank you to this forum for guiding me the route I have found . I now have found a person working with me on inlays and artwork .

At these stakes, definite don't use stock designs. Hell, I'd probably spring for 3 levels of security.

Yeah, it's a complicated journey, but there are hundreds of people on this forum that have ordered through CPC and we all paid up front. It sucks, but it's 100% custom work and it's just the way it is.

You can select your mold, colors, and spot patterns up front and submit your order to lock your place in line for the mold and clay formation. That gives you time to complete your artwork. In both of my orders I submitted my artwork after paying sending over my chip designs.

David has always been very responsive by email and will answer any questions that you need. He told me that they can do very minor artwork "tweaks" but they don't get into the design side for the inlays, that's on you to find someone. I actually worked with a friends daughter who was a graphic art student in college. She used my chips as one of her school projects, ended up working out for both of us.

Good luck in your custom chip journey. Super rewarding once you have then in your hands and they are one of kind.

And don't worry about people questioning your desired quantities, everyone's game is different. Most will make suggestions on "ideal" quantities per denomination but it's really up to whatever you want on the table.

Personally I love my CPC. :)

It's worth mentioning that CPC is a bit of a labour of love. The company is still making chips because a few chip enthusiasts (of which David is one) bought it and managed to get the retired master chip maker to come back. David is UK based yet seems to be checking his email all the time as I have gotten responses way outside normal working hours and I've never had any communications with anyone other than David so you're dealing with a boutique small business, not a giant corporation.

Without CPC it would be practically impossible to get custom compression clay poker chips as they're the sole maker who still sells to the public and is also why we're so defensive of them!
