Help me find a chip to use for a $1 (1 Viewer)

No clue on shape but if grey

Unfortunately it’s a very light grey.

I’m liking the idea of a grey or charcoal if possible. I have sets with blue and white $1’s already. Both colors are still in the mix, but would like to explore all the options.

Check out the Casablanca $100 chips -- one is grey 818-spotted, the other is showboat grey with P22 spots. Either would work well imo.

Personally, I'd go with 8V ES quarters, but good luck finding them in your price range. May be an issue with the Casa P22s, too.

Doing some stack and splashed pot experimenting to see how the blue and white chips I have look with the line up. If I do use a blue it needs to be a dark blue.

The white chip didn’t have the possible dirty stack issue as much as the Paris chip did.

+1 on ES T100 greys. I have a barrel to help if you ever go in the direction.

i have a similar project in the works. Using flamingo 1s, AS snappers (5s) AS 25s and 100s.

The Scandias are a dark enough blue that I didn’t have dirty stack issues with the HS snappers...

Edit... found a splashed pot pic.

(although I did have issues with the pink HS snapper and the fuchsia PdC $5)

@guyfleegman sold me 120 of these Casablanca $100. I think they will be a good fit in the set.

He has been awesome to deal with and even shipped them to before I could send payment. PayPal wants me to verify my account, which I have done at least a dozen times but it keeps taking me back to the same screen when I try to send the funds. Very aggravating!!! I’m going to try it on the PC tonight when I can get a few free minutes. Otherwise I have to put a call into PP to find out what the heck is going on.

Now to start removing all of the inlays and start on designing the label.

Those Casa hundos will look sharp as dark labeled $1s.

Looks like you could have the same dirty stack issue as with the Paris between that light color on the quarter and the grey chip?

That’s the most of those snappers I’ve seen in one collection, very nice & if you’d let any go I’d be interested in a rack. Good looking set!

I can’t remember who, but check the limit set thread, someone has like 12+ racks of them!

I’m pretty sure I’m going in a different direction for the $1 chip now. I picked up 2 racks of the Irish Mike’s $100. I like the darker base color than the grey of the Casablanca $100.

The problem with using this dark of a $1 is I can’t use the AS$100 now. But @Perthmike had a great idea that I am probably going to have to steal, and use the AS$20 as the $100.

If not that, then I’ll have to find some other oversized chip or possible a custom plaque for the $100

I bought a rack at well under $10/chip, and a barrel for $12. $20 per seems a bit steep to me.
