Thanks for the early responses. I tell ya what... it feels like I've been gone for ages. I've seen sets in the classifieds that were being provided just as I was rolling off the hobby - glad to see they are still being moved around the communities. I'd see older collections online every so often but hadn't seen some of the more premium sets until creating my profile. It looks like there's some some real dandies out there.

Oh really? What a small world. I live in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood (nw side) which is about 10 minutes from Skokie.

Not far at all! Come on over and play sometime.... when we're allowed to get within six feet of each other :p

i noticed you are relatively new here as well... first time getting into the hobby?
Yup. This site has put a major dent on my finances . Was in the market for chips and ended up getting a set of Tiki Kings. I'm now awaiting a new custom poker table.

I hear ya. A bit pricier than I recall about a decade ago...

I’m looking to build a poker table from one I got off Craigslist years ago. Its an octagon table (4ft edge to edge) but probably played pretty cramped if max’d our by 8 guys. Looking to make a 5ft diameter round table on top of the existing frame. Will be heavy but pretty solid (I hope!)

Thinking about assembling a mixed casino set but may go with some commercial chips to hold me over for the time being.
