Two Pair
Hey, there!
I am an Ohio native recently transplanted to San Antonio. I work in utilities and frequently travel to visit clients, and I very much enjoy working casino stops into my travels. I don't do much gambling, but I absolutely love hunting for chips. Since I am so new to chipping, pretty much all of my collection is made up of live chips in the 1, 2.50, 5, and 25-dollar denominations.
Most of my chips are from the Vegas, Gulf Coast, Black Hawk, or Oklahoma. Chips are appealing to me for their beautiful colors, historical context, and intricate designs. I also find them fascinating from a manufacturing perspective. I have so much to learn, so much to collect, and I am so excited to begin! I always collect spares in my travels, and I think it would be a blast to find some chip buddies that might be interested in some swaps!
I am also wanting to figure out how to best preserve and catalog my collection. Fun things like chip racks, shadow boxes, etc. are likely out because my wife doesnt find them appealing in the slightest, so they may end up in binders like my card collections. Anyway, looking forward to getting started!
