Hi, I'm a college student based in Ithaca, NY, and I've been playing poker casually for the past couple of years. I got a 300-piece set of dice chips as a birthday gift a few years ago and it quickly became a staple for our 10c/20c home games where I've made some great memories playing with my buddies. Now that the game has become a regular tradition, I'm looking to upgrade to a larger set with proper denominations. I recently joined PCF to learn more about the world of poker chips and get advice from the community as I explore options for a quality set.

We primarily play NLHE, with the occasional hand or two of PLO once in a blue moon just to mix things up. Funny you mention the link in your signature for the optimal cash game chip breakdown. I actually first found out about PCF after Googling chip breakdowns and landing on that exact page. Small world!

My son will be off to college too soon, and he wanted a set he could take. We gifted him a custom CC set. Picked them up from Apache and custom labels from Gear.

The yellow is a non denom chip "X" on the chip, he can use it for .05 or later on perhaps a 100.
