New user...used to play a lot of poker online 2004~2008. Play live now when I can...wish there were some better live options in Chicagoland. Maybe this new casino in Chicago will have a poker room.

I play at the Horseshoe in Hammond when I can but their hours since the pandemic really limit my options...with no weekend play. Though it does seem they are open Friday nights now...

Just some initials (not teacher retirement system...though I surely wish I was due for one of their pensions lol). I have been using this username since the AOL days...just chose it a long long long time ago and it stuck.

Welcome! I’m originally from NWI and played at that casino in Hammond when it was still the Empress. Over 20 years ago now. I can’t imagine it’s aged well.

Are the boats in Gary and East Chicago still around?

I played at the Empress and The Majestic. Had some really fun times and big hands at those casinos...even though I always felt the casinos and vibe there was a bit sketchy. Majestic closed down a few years ago. The Empress was bought buy the Horseshoe casino group and redone into the Horseshoe Hammond...I really like the Horseshoe...it is a large casino, high ceilings, a lot of open space, nice sportsbook...I like the casino. I have a trip scheduled to the Hard Rock in NWI in a couple months.

Wait, Rivers has a Poker room now???? They add that during the pandemic????? I'm 15 minutes away, this could be dangerous.
