Hi everyone,

I’m Manuel from Austria.

I’ve been into poker for many years, mainly playing home games with friends, but also some live events in the past. One of my favorite poker memories was playing the EPT in Vienna back in 2010, where I managed to finish 75th and even had the chance to play at the same table as Daniel Negreanu for a while – definitely a highlight for me.

These days, due to work and family life, I mostly stick to smaller stakes, but poker is still one of my favorite hobbies.

Over time, I developed a real appreciation for high-quality chips. I currently own a Samurai Palace set and really enjoy the feel of BCC T-mold chips – I just can’t get used to plastic chips anymore.

I’m really glad I found this forum, as I’m currently on the lookout for a great cash game set. Looking forward to learning more from the community and seeing all the great collections here.

Cheers!

Welcome! Awesome chips, I’ve owned Samurai cashsets three times. If there’s ever a fourth I’ll try to be less stupid with them

Welcome again. Samurai’s are nice chips!
Yes, what can I say – they look fantastic. I do slightly regret not buying the lower denominations back then for small stakes cash games. But I’m sure I’ll find something that fits. The selection here on the forum is enormous, and until now I had no idea there were so many “crazy” people around – in the best possible sense, of course.

Welcome! Did Daniel tell you everything you do at the table conveys information? 😂

Cool chips btw!

It was actually a lot of fun. In general, I like it when not everyone hides behind a hoodie and sunglasses and walks around completely disconnected with headphones on. It gave me the opportunity to chat and laugh with him a lot, even knowing that I was giving away information – I didn’t really mind that.

For me, poker has always been a game, and I’m more the type who sees it as a social activity where I don’t want to hide or pretend.

By the way, Daniel made it to the final table that weekend. GOAT.

There is a set for sale on eBay. Price is way too high though. Not sure if the guy is in PCF

If you decide to sell the tourney set to fund a cash set of the non-SP variety, let me know.
