If stamps, will be fine. The great equalizer, hard to have a bad looking stamped chip.
I know nothing design wise - maybe less than nothing. I wanted to build a diddy party all white set. Another time wanted a diff mold every denom.
That being said, it would be super wierd for me that spot progression, inlay/stamp, and vibe would all be key to cohesion, but not the colors of the chips.
Again, I don’t have a lick of design understanding, but there are chips that “go together” and those that “don’t”. Whether that’s dealing with color theory or utilizing contrasts and hues with intent, I think color matters.
In my breakdown of JD vs IG, it’s one of the key differences for me. JD has great solo chips, but the sets a mess.
I think it’d be a great discussion to have and see other artists/designers converse with you and each other on the topic, look at previous nagbs, share insights, see what’s concesus opinions and what’s not. But…people won’t be honest because it’s seen as negative or mean. There’s what’s said behind closed doors and then what’s posted.
I’m sure the set will be gorgeous. They’ll sell!
But no, personally I don’t see the intent to build a cohesive set, which personally just for me, is always the one sad face for nagbs.
Edit - to point out idk if there’s ever been chips released I dislike, btps are one of my favs and pretty disliked by top end design folk, and if all nagbs are built specifically for cohesion, the forum misses out on a ton of relabel/restamp options through the years. Literally impossible to please both sides.
