Just had a 1/2 cash game with some friends/members of a bar poker league. Had fun. One of the guys even brought out the nicer kings casino chips some type of ceramic I think no metal slugs in there’s. A really nice table and did the dealing didn’t play.

The cards were hard to read They were very much like this. Small print and at a weird angle 45deg in each corner. Found it hard to read the suite of the cards at times.

Would I be out of place to not use these cards. They were copag’s I think but I really didn’t like them.

Those are Poker Peek. They are trying to solve a problem that I don’t think really exist that is being small enough so that it’s harder for somebody else to observe and angled so you can bring up the corners to see what you have.

If you’re asking if you should get these for your home game, I think your asking the question gives you the answer

I like having a setup of these cards... for my collection. I don't think I've put them in play since about 2003-04 or so.

I used to think that a couple of decades ago.

I think poker peek cards have their place. In one of my games we play with really big index (I think its Blackjack, which is bigger than Jumbo) due to the size of the table and the age of the participants.

I notice I have to lift my cards really high to read the cards and suits correctly. The addition of poker peek fonts would have helped.

Totally agree... I'd like to see a variation that has a peek index closer to regular index or larger, with a jumbo below it. Could be pretty sweet.

These wouldn't help me. I don't bend the corners to look at the cards....I cup the two cards with both hands and tilt them horizontally, then slide them apart to see both cards. Much easier to read card and suit.
That'd be a great topic for a survey. How do you read your hole cards?

Itd be also great to know which method causes the least wear and tear on the cards. I was under the presumption wear on bending the cards longitudinally was greater?

I have plastic cards that I have used for years and there's no unusual wear from folks peeling a corner to read their cards. the wear on bending longitudinally that causes wear is when people use a chip to serve as a wedge so they can squeeze the most impossibly small edge of the card to read them, causing a crease in the card as a result.

If your players are doing this, that's the source of accelerated wear. A normal peek at a corner really shouldn't cause any extra wear.
