I saw some threads recently about it being easier to purchase Angel Playing cards in Japan while visiting vs trying to ship them from Amazon JP.

I'm heading to Spain soon and wondering if there's any playing cards I should keep an eye out for to see if I can grab that might be harder to source in the US? Maybe some Fournier or Dal Negros? Though I haven't looked online, so not really sure if these are actually hard to find. Was looking more for souvenir type things that might be a little harder to find.

I'll already have my eye out for one of those cool looking Spanish card decks!:

well thats a new part of the forum for me to explore and try not to spend too much on...

Looks like it closed for now - but the thread gives a pretty good idea on what I should look out for which is handy!

Funnily - tried to do this, but website said they're basically shut down all of August for summer break, that European holiday mentality is something special.

I managed to find some of those Fournier cards, european made copag and bicycle prestiges just poking around at some board game shops while I was there. I really like those Fourniers, so pretty happy with what I got in the end.

The deck of Bicycle Prestiges I got were 'made in spain' they have an awesome texture, but feel really different to the prestiges I have purchased previously. The deck I'd purchased and played with previously looked like this:

The ones I purchased were 'Made in Spain' and the box was just a cardboard box that looked like this:

The made in Spain ones are a very different texture (thinner and slicker) which I really like - anyone know what the story is with the differences? Can the Spain made ones be found in the US?

I also bought some of these from eBay and my experience was the same as yours (except I think they’re about the same thickness as the US ones) - I like the texture better, too.

I don’t think they can be found in the US, just on eBay.

My only complaint is the edges knock together and bounce off each other when gathering cards or doing a wash shuffle. It’s enough to make me not want to use them.
