Greetings from NoVa/DMV - Search for black Majestics (1 Viewer)

Hi everybody,

A quick background - I've lived in DC/NoVa for the last 3½ years. I started playing hold'em during the poker boom when I was 17 & played semi-regularly (live & online) throughout college. However, my frequency of play trailed off in recent years to the point where the only poker I can bank on is when I go back to WI for the family home game. I'm hoping to knock the rust off with some .25/.25NL or .25/50NL (I'd love to join a local home game! Will travel!)

On to the true reason for this post, after perusing the forums on this site I ordered some white and salmon Majestics from Apache (and yes, I ordered samples). I'm very pleased with the chips and I'm looking to get some black's to complete my cash game set. Since I'm a new member I'm not allowed to post a 'wanted' in the classifieds until I have ten other posts. I'm going to relabel the blacks as 5's (with gear labels) so it doesn't matter whether they have the $100 label or they're blanks. According to their website, Apache will be out of stock until March. I need a minimum of 135 chips and I'd take up to 175 (and anything in between).

We left Alexandria 4+ years ago, but my former next door neighbor (near Braddock Road Metro) has carried on my old home game. He's in Del Ray. Mostly quarter/fiddy, mostly hold'em. I'm not sure how often he's running it right now, but pm me your email address and I'll send it to him.

If you're looking for higher stakes games, let me know that, too. Of course, you have National Harbor there now, as well...

Yeah, I'm right across the bridge from National Harbor & see that beautiful building everyday. I'd like to sharpen my game a bit before I sit down at a $1/3NL & try to beat the rake.

Regarding the other higher stakes games, I guess it depends on how close they are, what you mean by higher stakes, and what other games (at lower stakes) that I'm able to find. It's not something I'm opposed to I'd just like to get my game back to where it was.

I run a game in Ellicott City whenever my kids aren't booked. @MikesDad hosts a more regular game on the other side of Ellicott City. I am right off of 95 and 100. I hope to run another game in the near future, and can let you know when it is.

As @krafticus said, I run a game on the west side of Ellicott CIty... off of US40 west of US29 near the US40/I-70 merge/split
Usually hold a game twice a month -- one cash game, one tournament (with cash game that follows)
