Sooner or later you just have to let some things go. Can't hold onto what could have been forever or what you think should be the outcome just because in this case it would benefit you. Things didn't work out this time but there will be others. Rules were followed, word was kept, case closed.

Bentax dropped out a few posts down into this thread

I would have bought the set I first called dibs on if you guys needed me to in order to seal the deal :) But having already picked up over 2500 chips on the group buy, I figured I'd step back and let some other chippers have a shot (and to let my credit card cool off a bit). But it appears no one else jumped on it while the opportunity was there, so I can't imagine how anyone could take issue with the fact that Josh picked up a set or two under the circumstances.

My vision is different from yours.
I think more collectivism.
Apache work with community, and so ?
they made custum Paulson hotstamped ( 25c PNY Avalon ... ),Majestics etc.... Apache sponsoring PCF and so ?
He has run a shop, it does not fix this specially for the community.
The Chiproom do 10 time more for the community than Apache imo.

I have dealt with both Josh and H|Q and both have been fair in their practices. We all should appreciate what they have done for the community. It would have been just as easy or should I say easier if the group buy was ran as a sale. This probably would have resulted in higher prices. We should be thankful that we even had the opportunity. Within the current market the chips that were sold could have easily gone for much more. Although I did not participate in this GB I have participated in the past. Bottom line is great chips at great prices. As a community let's not screw up the future by quarreling after the fact.
My .02¢ and I am officially off of my soap box!

It's easy to show up late to the party and wonder why someone is thought of in high regard. But by virtue of the value he has added to the chipping community in past transactions Josh ended up with basically just getting to choose if he wanted all the leftovers. Good for him. I say and many others say in this thread alone that it was well deserved.

In the last couple years I have seen very very little coming out of The Chiproom. Apache Josh has done more for the chipping community recently than The Chiproom will probably ever do again (very sad to say and only my opinion).

As others have said, if you really wanted a set where were you when they were offered?

I understand the frustration of getting lost in the shuffle, but I imagine that could have happened to anyone in this situation. The magnitude of this group buy is not something that happens all that often and I can only imagine the hundreds of PM's HQ got in a very short period of time on top of all the replies in public threads. Implying that Apache swooped in and bought them with anything close to malicious intent is disingenuous at best.

Hi all,

I've dealt (or talked) with most of the participants of this thread.

I do agree with you guys and Lady , especially with @Psypher1000.

Belgrade is a personal friend, hosting a regular 1 1 game.

He always sells his chips at the lowest price and never made a penny on them since 2008.

The frustration comes from the no answer. @H/Q has explained why. Closed.

The second reason is the priority conus (I respect that, this is the seller choice).

But sometimes, it's a bit frustrating
And it's a bit harder to understand when you're the US buyer rather than the European "only watching sale thread" member :(

Once again, I respect the seller choice where he wants to ship or not.

I hope this will illuminate a bit the way Belgrade felt during the last days.

Agreed with @BPTDirector , the case should be over now.

@BELGRADE forget about those GV, I got some Pointe After coming up for sale featuring home delivery by myself ;)

Thanks !

I've seen more chip flipping from France than any others.

*ducks for cover

You guys could always move over here across the Atlantic to Quebec ....... its kind of France-ish :)

....and they eat poutine (my favorite Canadian food) (y)

Know this is super late to the party but by chance did any setups of the GV cards come available? Sure wish I had bought a few more when the Chiproom sale first happened.
