I saw them in 1999 or so with Pantera opening at The Palace in Auburn Hills Michigan. It was pretty cool!

I only saw Ozzy once, in 1986 with Metallica (with Cliff Burton) opening. It was definitely a Metallica crowd, even in those early days…many in the crowd did not stay for Ozzy’s performance.

1986 would make it the Ultimate Sin / Master of Puppets tour (with Cliff!).

Soooo jealous.

Metallica toured alot in Europe before opening for Ozzy, so yeah, their fans were jonsing to see them live.

Back when I was in high school (early 80's), I used to paint album covers on the back of denim jackets. To you young'uns, having a painted jacket back then was the ultimate cool.
I had a request to paint the Blizzard of Ozz cover and it was a challenge...but I felt it came out great, and I was really proud of it. I presented it to the girl in school and she said she would get me the $50 later that day. Well, you know how this ends....I never got paid.
To this day, that cover reminds me of a lesson learned the hard way ...you don't provide final art until the cash is in hand. Thanks Ozzy!

I always wanted a Hendrix jacket but was too expensive. I had to settle for pins & buttons . I loved the square ones that were like a mini album cover.
