Fugly Poker Table Thread (13 Viewers)

I wonder what the hammer was used for or if it was just staged?

A passing scene of this table was, in the original uncut version of Star Wars, inside the Millennium Falcon.
It was next to the Dejarik table (another fugly table).
Lando lost his ship, and it's matching table inside, to Solo playing Sabacc.
$3500 is a bargain. It is probably worth 10x that to movie prop collectors  .

The craftsmanship is really nice. I have this mental picture of this guy sitting at home on a Sunday morning watching Bob Villa on This Old House and saying, "I can do that kind of woodworking." Then Close Encounters of the Third Kind came on and he decided to focus his new found passion on building a flying saucer. But the movie ended before the project and he then watched Rounders and had an Aha!! moment and decided to turn it into a poker table.

Sorry, sometimes my humor is a little long-winded and obtuse.

Also, I am fat guy with short arms. I couldn't play at this table because I couldn't reach the chips if I won a pot.
