Hey all, newer to the forum and close to completing my first real chip cash set! I'm getting a Cincy Horsehoe RHC set with $1/$5/$25/$100, just need to get a frac chip to be able to run it live. I've read through threads on differieng opinions about mixing sets / molds, and was curious how people would think this mix would work? The blue color on the frac looks like it would blend nicely but would be adding a house mold to the RHC set. Alternative obviously would be waiting til a (preferably light blue) RHC frac set is posted for sale. Not urgent to be able to use it but of course excited to get it done! Thanks for any advice - Ted

Thats a solid choice because there's no chance of dirty stacks. Mixing molds is a personal preference. I don't mind it. What does bother me is if the stacks aren't the same height, or at least within half a chip for a barrel. That can get in the way if you are counting stacks quickly.

Agree with Wonka, it’s personal preference. Get them in play and keep your eye out on classifieds, upcoming chiproom/ chipvault sales etc. I went through about 3 different frac options before I found the 4th iteration that I was happy with (sold off everything that I didn’t keep). Unless your players are chip nerds, they’ll unlikely notice or care TBH.

Also, half the fun of this hobby is searching and the hunt for the ‘one’ chip.

GL!

If you're using frac you'll be hard pressed to ever get the hundos on the table, you should never have need of the 500s. I think its a solid frac, great base color and they are hotstamps which is a community fav for fracs anyway.

Hopefully you have at least 300 5s, maybe 400.

Not sure why you are getting fracs with the high chip denominations you have.
What stakes are you playing?

0.25/0.50, the set I have is different quantities of the above pic but included it for reference for matching purposes against the fracs.
Def was looking at Paris chips in general, not feeling confident to jump into relabeling yet

If you don’t want to go down the route of having things milled or trying to remove inlays yourself, you can always just go the lazy route and just label over the inlay. That’s what I did with my Cleveland set and labels from @Gear.

If you would like solid, hot-stamped, light blue RHC 25¢ chips, you could DM @doublebooyah85 and see if he still has these Hollywood Casino (Aurora, IL) chips available:

Again can’t stress the importance of this ^

Since your HS Cincy set is used, u want to be matching them with fracs that are in used conditions as well

love all these suggestions! Should have waited longer before getting the rack of rivers frac, got pm’d with HS Cincy snapper already relabeled to frac in matching condition. Will probably end up having to catch and release the rivers fracs if everything looks good when it comes xD
