What people who say this generally mean is, "I can't make enormous bets to steal the pot with nothing!"Well, I mentioned trying out $2/$5 limit at our next game to my players and got a resounding "NO WAY!".
The majority of comments were along the lines of "nobody will ever fold!". How can I rebut that and get them to come over to the dark side??
True. Usually you can't.
But people will fold. Lots of hands are just junk. Some hands aren't worth calling a raise in the $5 levels with only $10 in the pot. And if people ignore this and call-call-call anyway (or try to bluff a lot) because "It's just $2," "It's just $5," etc., they will mostly lose money and create fat, juicy pots for other players to win.
