FDLmold's Inlaid Casino Fractionals (singles) (1 Viewer)

This one is a bit of a stretch, but I liked it anyway. It is apparently a casino from Lebanon, but that information is questionable.

Since there are over 1000 Lebanese lira to the dollar, that makes this a frac. Or so I told myself. I own zero chips that are this base color, which was something else working in its favor.

Got a new phone, and a new chip. Thought I would use one to share the other.

This is a live Cali chip. Missed one on eBay, but I found a guy. I like the chips from this casino because the tree on each chip matches at least one color on the chip.

Using both the cent symbol band decimal point makes this with half a cent!

I will take a rack at double face value, here is a buck :p

Not many poker chip set victories this past year, but I did alright with the singles. Finally got some on the wall in my Michael's $12 displays. A black drywall screw in the bottom left corner of each display, driven through the backing and into the wall, keeps them square and secure.

I'm always on the lookout for missing specimens. If you have one available, give me a holler. Inlaid, frac, prefer that they were used in a casino at some point, though there are exceptions. Also home game fracs are fair game too. Some of my favorite chips are in the bottom three rows here. I only had room for IN and MI fracs today. Need 5-6 more displays for the rest. Need 3+ displays just for Cali.

Those are lovelies! But the only Gardena 5c/10c/25c chips that I'm collecting are Rainbow, Monterey (newer), and Embassy Club. The only one I'm missing is:
CA embassy club red 25 (160).jpg

The inlaid 5c/10c/25c from Normandie (crest set and FDL/knife/fork/spoon set, you have one of each above), Gardena, Horseshoe, and early Monterey are the same purple, white, and red as all the Gardena others, and some are really rare. So I saved some money and am not diminishing the collection much by ignoring them. If I end up a rich millionaire, sure I'll put those 15 chips back on the list! I estimate $2,500 for them all? I could be low. The market for rare Cali singles is difficult to judge. If I was rich enough I'd even add Nevada too. A full set of Nevada inlaid fracs is probably $10,000.

Added one more to Washington today. So I thought I would bring them all out to breathe. Lummi was really dirty so I gave him a bath.

I would not be as far on these as I am WITHOUT being a PCF member. That gap is for the Roxbury 25c chip that I will have someday.

Updated photos. It's been a while. There are two new Casino Queen Illinois fracs now. One on the way. The other is live and I will pick it up from eBay or a harvester at some point.

I do own a few Nevada fracs, but have not put them on display yet. I suppose I could collect all the Nevada fracs that are under $20 each or so, that is doable. All of Nevada is $10,000 for all the fracs, ballpark, and I'll never have that.

Looks like I'm back in the Nevada frac game. I had the few on top, and today's delivery is on the bottom. I suppose I can casually collect the fifty or so Nevada inlaid fracs that are worth $20 or less.

Illinois is looking goooooo-oooooooood. Still one more Casino Queen chip to add. It's an ugly chip, RHC as well, and not their great house mold.

Here's a pic of the only non-Nevada inlaid casino fractional chips that I am NOT collecting.

They are the identical colors to the Embassy 5c/10c/25c, which I am collecting, and to some of the Rainbow chips which I am also collecting. Additionally, the 25c chips here can get very expensive, like three figures expensive. The full set would be cool, but is close to impossible to achieve. I know somebody with deep pockets who for ten years diligently tried to collect all 15 of these. He only got about half of them.

So I've given in, and will collect some Nevada chips now. There are about 110 inlaid Nevada fracs. These 18 pictured below are out of my price range, but they are pretty (and rare). Forgive the salty language of the folder name please. Values, as best I can tell, are in parentheses. I've seen them all sell except the El Cortez 50c small crown. The $2000 for that is a guess. The 18 chips here are about $8,000!

That pic is of the chips I can't afford.

The rest of Nevada ranges from "Under $20, sure" to "$50, gotta think about it" up to "$100, not today" for me. Everything in that pic up there can be measured in 10% increments of my mortgage payment and is essentially unobtanium, since I have more discipline than something like, say, the US government, when it comes to spending money.

I think 99% of people are more fiscally responsible than the US gov.

I have a binder or two of 10c/25c/50c. Mostly Vegas. I can send some pics. And come on man. Just borrow money up to your eyeballs to buy shit you don't need your entire adult life... Its the American way!!! Hahaha.

Got the missing WA chip in the mail yesterday. Thanks for digging it out, @HaRDHouSeiNC . Family reunion!

Nevada, baby! 27 down, 32 affordable chips left to go. Then perhaps 27 not very affordable chips. Then 24 in the "no freaking way" group.

IMG_1189.jpg

Also had a nice person scratch my back and send me this beauty. The inlay is perfectly intact and not lifting, which is something to be aware of on these OLD inlaid TRK chips.

Haha, an inlaid TRK scrown with a face value of 5 cents. Love it.

All the time I was reading this this morning I was thinking “please don’t have the Primadonna, please don’t have the Primadonna” and your last post had it. My friend, I have a 2nd one in my box o’ doubles. I would love to give it to you and maybe you can trade it for something you don’t have with someone.

The El Capitan’s are out there I can put it on my watch list for you.

I think this specific collection is a really neat idea, like Mel’s BOH’s.

Very generous! More than I deserve. PM on the way anyway. :D

Thank you for the compliment. When I was getting into singles, I knew I couldn’t buy everything. I had to limit it to something interesting, beautiful, and manageable. Inlaid fracs are awesome, because they just don’t belong in a place that also has inlaid $1000 chips.

That El Capitan is VERY nice btw.

Going to update my pr0n tonight

I hope

Have to do some classifieds business first.
