So, this Saturday was supposed to when I host my April Poker Night. Thanks to some Bat drinking a Corona, then flying over from China, its been cancelled. This makes two months in a row I have cancelled, and I'm getting a bit itchy for live poker, so I am going to host a five person tournament with my wife and three sons (10, 7 and 4). I'm going to set up the room with the timers, put out my hotdog roller and put the bar out. Even though none of that will get used/paid attention to (with the exception of the hot dog roller, the kids love that), its more of a mental exercise in staying sane for me. I am going to go with T2000 starting stacks with a T25/T50 starting blind because they will not be able to pay attention much past an hour. I am putting up a $5 pot to the winner, all the boys are interested in that. I'm hoping it goes semi-smoothly, but this is probably the first game at my house where I really have to worry about a fist fight breaking out (2nd and 3rd boys love to punch each other).

An idea came to me. We're all home and can't go out. There's plenty of options for online games, but none for playing live. Let's turn this into an unofficial PCF event. Set up for your poker nights, just run it with the crew you have in house. Bonus points if you get your dog/cat to play.

Even if I'm the only one doing it, I'll post pictures of my madness here. Feel free to share your photo's in this thread!

You are too late for this thread for me - we did that on Monday here. My daughter turned 21, and with no clubs, no bars, no casino, no NOTHING she was kinda down about it. Had a six person family only poker night for her birthday. She was instantly happy again :)

Don't hurt yourself.....:nailbite:

personally, I'd make everyone buy in for 25 cents so that they have some skin in the game.....
I'm going to put up the prize pool, but I am going to make everyone bring $1 for a bounty. Of course the first time one kid takes a bounty from another kid, somebody's getting hit.

My oldest is pumped. He is saying he is going to take me down. "You think so? Let's see what happens."

You know I’d play you heads up all day if I could
I'll just call you and tell you your cards, let me know whether you want to check, raise, fold. I'll still end up losing.

I think once this is all done, people are going to be pumped to play live. I know I am.

And just like that, another poker night cancelled because 60% of my players want to watch the sonic the hedgehog movie. I'm probably going to go shuffle and deal to myself.

Don't feel bad, 2 reasons...

1. I'm sure you have the first ever game where players were not in their seats because of Sonic the Hedgehog and more importantly....

2. I'm sure you did the right thing and blinded them off, thus earning at LEAST 3 bounties!

:wow: :wtf::LOL: :laugh::LOL: :laugh::tup::tup:
