Wow what a chance we missed, nevertheless this is a big success for the swiss team. Good fight and finally got to the quarter finals. We used to be very happy to just qualify for a european or world tournament, so i cant really complain with the team and its development. Good job team and staff!

The Italian team is playing great and playing for the win. It's awesome to see and it makes some of us go along for the ride..
I still like the team better with Locatelli instead of Verratti, personally, but it's just nit-picking. The only question mark on the team for me is the central striker. Immobile and Belotti (the few minutes he played) haven't been great imo...

I understand that many hate when Italy was playing catenaccio (translated door bolt) style football in the previous generation. It did make for a lack luster score board. IMHO; there was a beauty to the play, how they ate up pressure from the opposing teams even those teams that were known for their ball handling and passing. Many different styles and ideas where thrown at it and it still worked most of the time. Yes we all like to scream when there is a goal, but i also applaud when the defenders make an amazing stop of a run for the goal.

I think that the best thing to happen to Italy was failing to qualify for the World Cup. They’ve completely changed the way they play football. Mancini was a great choice for manager.

Agreed, Thomas. KDB was trying his best but was clearly super hurt. Full disclosure: I'm a huge De Bruyne fan. With a healthy team there was still a chance but unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be.
Belgium was the best team in Euro '16 and WC '18, imo. That was their best chance.

I see it as; a golden generation biggest offerings is the inspiration it gives to the little kids watching and saying I am going to be like Eden or I can play like Lukaku, I am not tosmall to play i can be like Mertens. They will inspire many young Belgium's to push them selves so i see a big future for Belgium soccer. The foundation is strong!
I think even without him, Italy are still the team to beat, personally.
I have them in the sweeps, so I decided to cover that with a bet on Spain and England to win it all... Which probably means Denmark will win it all now, knowing my luck.
