Ends today - if winning price is over $140 - winner will have the option to purchase another exact set of these 20 chips at the winning price.

Looking at my phone - there was a bid at 6. That kicks in the 5 minute rule and unless there is another bid the auction ends at 6:05. There were several bids after 6 - the last bid was at 6:04 - since there were no bids after 6:04 - the last bid by bluegill won.
If anyone thinks otherwise- let me know and we can ask one of the monitors for input.

I wasn’t involved in the auction, but would be interested in clarification for future reference. Without seconds in the time stamp, it seems pretty open to interpretation.

I would say the 6:00 bid is normally invalid, since the auction is assumed to end at 6:00:00, and the 6:00 bid would be late. However, the 5:55 bid should have triggered the ‘last 5 min’ rule. The only 5:55 bid that does not trigger the rule is 5:55:00.

I think...

More than happy to get the opinion from a site moderator. But as heavyball says the 5:55 would make 6:00 within the 5 minutes.
Also - I am of the opinion that a bid at 6 PM - is also valid. If the Moderator is willing to make a call - I would be happy to follow that decision. If the moderator says it is my call then I would accept all bids and the last bid would be the winner.

The same exact thing has happened more than once.
