I am going to tackle a DIY table and was looking at an ellipse shape. We always play with 10 (this is the building forum so no chat about the number of players 
) so was wanting to know what would be the best dimensions?
It seems a “standard” size for an oval would be 96” x 44” so would I just use the same size and cut the ellipse within? Or do I need to compensate and go wider because of the curve?
I’ll be doing no cupholders and a cloth from @T_Chan. I’ve got a decent sized space and will probably make side tables for drinks.
I’ve built a standard oval before but an ellipse makes so much more sense for our self-dealt game. This is a 96” x 48” so plenty of room.
