Congrats! What an achievement! I’ll share one related to my field that I just learned last week:

The Monocyte Monolayer Assay (MMA) is a useful tool in testing the survivability of incompatible red blood cells in individuals with antibodies to high incidence red blood cell antigens.

If an individual has an antibody to a high incidence antigen (an antigen found on most people’s red blood cells), it can be difficult to transfuse such a patient without the destruction of those transfused cells, and this destruction can be dangerous to blood recipients.

MMA testing allows us to test if the donor cells can survive prior to transfusion!

Natural World....starting at the age of 5 or so, I planned to be a Veterinarian. The real world (versus the natural world) took a turn after I had my Biology Degree. But the forum really doesn't need another K9Dr, right??

This year, I'm rekindling my desire for fresh herbs and veggies. I've planted tomatoes, peppers (2 kinds), basil, rosemary, oregano, parsley, and thyme. Plus my sage has re-established itself after a recovery year. Apparently I'm Simon and Garfunkel?
