Hi friends,

I'm desperately looking for a chipper who lives near or is planning on going to Deadwood SD. I'm actively looking for 2 barrels of the Saloon No. 10 $1s (picture attached, from ChipGuide). It's for a relabel project that, without giving it all away, will eventually find its way back into the hands of fellow PCFers.

Alternatively, if you or anyone you know has 2 barrels of Saloon No. 10 $1s, please take my f'n money.

Cheers!

Too bad you didn't post this before Sturgis. My friend just came back. I'm planning on going next year so if you don't have your chips by then let me know.

Thanks friend, appreciate that

They're incredible chips, and even better, they're the colors of the NYC flag
Is the casino even open?
Apparently the bar is open but the gaming tables are closed. Hopefully that changes soon; I recall reading that Deadwood casinos were among the first to reopen. Don't know if anything's changed since then

Saloon 10s poker room is not open last I checked and they haven’t posted anything new about regulations on their website.

The Lodge closed their poker room and the Silverado fired their poker staff.

I’ll be headed out there as soon as poker is returned to normal. I go there once a year.

Seems like Deadwood is the place for poker in the north of the country? I've done a little gambling in Wisconsin, and it can only go up from there

(truly don't mean to be disrespectful I love the midwest, Potawatomi in Milwaukee is just a mickey mouse clubhouse is all)

It’s a fun historic western town. Every room there is small but you have 4 different poker rooms in town. Saloon 10 only has 2 tables. I’ve never been to Potawatomi so I’m not sure what that’s like, but MN has a couple decent sized poker rooms.

I may be biased living 10 mi away, but Canterbury Park is the best poker room in Minnesota. Pre covid was a 32 table room, limit games 2/4 to 40/80 regularly, and 2-100 spread limit. Big two week tournament series every fall plus a few other regional tour stops.

If you come to the minneapple (hopefully when operations return to normal), it's totally worth a visit.

Some 20/40 pr0n for you.

I was just out in Deadwood a week ago, the casino's were open for slots/video but it didn't look like any table games were
Just curious did you stop in Saloon 10? It looks like they removed the “table games temporarily closed” notice on their website so I was hoping that maybe the were running poker again.

I didn't specifically stop into Saloon 10 (had an 11 year old in tow, so only had the ability to pop my head into a couple to check them out

Just as an FYI I was there a few years back and all the chips were bicycle tires.

They still are. They've had the same chips on their poker tables/blackjack tables since they've been open for 20 years probably. It will be nearly impossible to find anything in 'normal casino used condition', let alone better.

This is upsetting but alas whaddya gonna do...

At this point, any suggestions for chips with blue and orange on 'em would be delightful. This was almost the exact colorway I was hoping for, but if anyone knows of another blue/orange-on-white chip, would love any suggestions. Only need like 2 barrels but need em in these colors...

FYI
Saloon 10 is fully open. Since Aug or September)
Silverado opened their poker room back up about 2 months ago
Cadallac Jack's is open, but I am not a fan. I don't go to deadwood for Vegas.
The lodge hasn't reopened poker and I don't think they plan to

@Marc Hedrick just got back. He can probably give you intel on the condition of the chips and the ease of grabbing them from the casino.

I will be there for two days in July. If I can help, let me know.
