Designer Ready for Custom Orders (CPC, Tina, Hot Stamp etc) (8 Viewers)

Just wrapped up a fun project for a fellow member and wanted to share it here. This one was a blast to work on. Clean theme, good direction, and came together really nicely.

I'll shoot you some pics of the chips when they come in after the December group buy!

New here! How long do commissions take? Was hoping to get something done by December GB

I have had a steady stream of really fun projects come through lately. Labels, plaques, full Tina sets, Hot Stamp recreations, inlay rebuilds, poker layouts, logo work, you name it. I really appreciate everyone who has reached out with design requests and ideas. It has kept me busy in the best possible way.

Many of the projects I have been working on are in the finishing stages which means that as things wrap up I am opening more room for new work. If you have a custom set idea, need inlays cleaned up or rebuilt, want a full Tina lineup, a logo for a home casino, plaques, felt layout or even just a single denom added to an existing set, I am always happy to help.

If you ever find yourself needing design work, feel free to message me anytime. I enjoy taking on fresh projects and I try to keep turnaround times reasonable and communication straightforward.

Thank you to everyone here who keeps trusting me with their ideas. It means a lot.

This set started with the idea of building a place first, and designing chips second.

Bon Temps is imagined as a small Louisiana seafood and po-boy restaurant established in the early 1960s, somewhere just off the bayou. The kind of place with hand-painted signage, paper table covers, and a steady group of regulars.

The name comes from the Cajun phrase “Laissez les bons temps rouler,” meaning “let the good times roll.” It reflects the spirit of the place, good food, good company, and long nights around the table.

At some point, a small back room became a place for cards. Nothing formal, just locals playing late into the night. Over time, a set of house chips naturally developed. Practical, a little worn, and built for use rather than display.

The identity was designed to feel like it could have come from a roadside restaurant in that era.

The logo draws from mid-century sign painting and seafood packaging. The typography is bold, slightly imperfect, and hand-painted in feel. The crawfish illustration anchors the Louisiana identity without overcomplicating it, and the Est. 1962 detail helps ground everything in a believable time and place.

The goal was to create something that feels familiar, like it has been there for years.

Rather than aiming for a luxury casino aesthetic, the focus was:
  • Authenticity over flash
  • Restraint over complexity
  • Cohesion across all elements
Everything from the logo to the typography to the color palette was designed to feel like it came from the same source.

The set is meant to feel like a working set of chips from a real place. Something handled, used, and part of a routine.

Not something pristine or collectible first, but something that became collectible over time.

Thanks Chat for the desc ;)

If I were to move forward with getting this as a design available for group buys or if someone wanted to order from Tina or whoever, what changes or additional ideas?

Great concept and backstory Oscar. The set looks good, cohesive colours and the art is very nice.

My problem (and I stress that it’s MINE) is that when I see Bon Temps I think of the TV series True Blood. :D

Push the size of all elements on the inlay to the largest possible (allowing for good taste).

The 19th Hole Hybrid Proof 1.webp

This set is inspired by the idea of the “19th Hole,” a classic golf term referring to the place players go after finishing their round. It’s not an actual hole, but the bar or lounge where the game turns into conversation, stories, and time spent with friends.

The design draws from a 1950s Palm Springs aesthetic, influenced by mid-century signage, country club culture, and vintage Americana. The goal was to create something that feels like it could have existed on a clubhouse wall decades ago—simple, recognizable, and full of character.

The visual approach is intentionally flat and graphic to keep it clean and production-friendly. The numbers were custom drawn in a retro-inspired style, supported by a limited palette of green, red, and cream to maintain a cohesive mid-century feel. Subtle motion in the golf ball adds a sense of energy without overwhelming the composition, while the circular layout reinforces the classic casino chip format.

At its core, the concept is about what happens after the game. The phrase “AFTER THE ROUND” anchors that idea, giving the design context beyond just golf. It represents the social side of the experience—the moment to relax, reflect, and enjoy the company of others.

If there’s interest in the set, I’d be open to expanding it with additional denominations, both higher and lower, while keeping the same overall style and character.

Quick update for everyone: I’ve cleared out pretty much my whole design queue.

If you’re looking for help with CPC sets, Tina designs, hot stamp artwork, inlays, labels, or anything else chip-related, please send me a DM with what you’re working on and we can get started.

Excited to help bring some new sets to life!

Also, if there’s anyone I’ve recently worked with who is okay with me sharing the final product in this thread, please let me know.

I just finished working with @Okku on a custom dealer button, and a member chip and a few other chip mods, and he is so great to work with, lots of energy and accuracy. Plus lots of great creative suggestions, input, and he was able to accomplish my ideas, fast and at a good value. I highly recommend him. He recently helped me with a whole TINA hybrid set a couple months ago, and they came in in March and turned out great!! And everyone loves them that has seen them!! If you are looking for a designer, send him a DM!!! Go!

I really appreciate it!!

Wrapping up two projects right now and then I’m going to have a pretty fresh slate again!

So if any of you guys have been thinking about getting a custom project started, feel free to PM me and we can work on something together. I’m definitely ready to take on some more work and always have a ton of fun seeing the different ideas everyone comes up with!

I’m also going to start posting more work in this thread as I can. A lot of what I’ve been working on lately has been Tina sets, so I just want to make sure it’s okay with each person before I share anything. Since those usually go into production first, a lot of them don’t end up being posted until a month or two later.

Also, to those of you I’ve worked with already, if you’ve got pictures of your sets, dealer buttons, layouts, plaques, or anything else I helped with, I’d really appreciate it if you posted them in here! Anything at all would help me out a ton and I’d love to see more finished work in this thread.

Exciting stuff coming and I look forward to working with more of you guys!

I'm looking for some design work for either a Tina set or custom clays (If I can find a place). The chips will be based on the Fallout New Vegas Casino chips. It's been 16 years and by now, it's safe to assume they aren't going to release any high quality versions of the ones that came out. Below are some high quality pics of the chips and I have both the originals myself and some mid quality ceramics from Germany if more is needed for reference.

Not sure what your bandwidth is but I'd be interested in a commission.

@CourierEight I’d definitely be interested in helping with that.

If you want to do something closer to the Fallout New Vegas chips you posted, I can absolutely work with that direction. And if you’d rather move forward with something more along the lines of what @Cratty did that @SeanGecko shared, you can do that too.

So really it just comes down to whether you want to stay pretty faithful to the original design or use it more as inspiration and build something in that style.

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk it through more. I’d be happy to work on something with you!

You can post the designs you did for me. They've been ordered, and I'll share pics when they arrive. Can't wait!

Alright, figured I’d start posting a few more of these since I got the okay!

First up is @fncraig Stewart Open custom Tina set.

This one was heavily inspired by Wynn style chips, just with a custom frac worked in for his set. I had a really good time working on this one. It’s clean, classic, and has that simple look that just works. The Kentucky shape in the inlay was a really cool personal touch too and helped give the set its own identity. Super happy with how this one turned out and I’m really excited to see pictures once they come in!

Also got the go-ahead to share @Snapplefacts Sheik’s custom Tina set.

This one was a really cool project because he came to me with a strong vision and a lot of good ideas to build from, and then I helped turn those ideas into the finalized inlay and chip set. A lot of the inspiration for the colors and overall feel came from Jordan, which made this one especially fun to work on. I think it ended up with a really unique look and a lot of personality across the whole lineup. Definitely appreciate him letting me share it!

Appreciate both of you guys giving me the okay to post these. Hoping I can keep adding more in here as I get permission!

Thanks for giving this design a spotlight @Okku. I was very happy with the design process and already have more ideas for future sets. You'll be my first stop when that time comes.

A little backstory on my chips - my Dad's side of the family started a golf outing following the death of my aunt as a way to be more purposeful with family time. We have some family members that live far away from our "roots" in Kentucky, so this was a cool idea my uncle had to get us all together. We do a two-day golf outing the same weekend every year at a little course in the middle of nowhere. They have some cabins on site, so we play golf all day and hang out at the cabin at night, grill out, and play cards (before more golf the next day). Euchre is a big thing here in the Cincinnati area, so we started with that (still play a lot), but we've also started to add poker into the mix. I've always supplied the chips - started with the obligatory dice chips, then i bought some china clays (which faded fast), and now I bit the bullet and went for some custom Tina chips. I'll probably add on to my original order through the upcoming group buys, as well as adding some fun chips to give out to participants.

I believe this year will be our 23rd year. It has grown significantly since the original days - not everybody stays the whole time, but we have 20-30 people that regularly come out to enjoy family, friendship, and a lot of shenanigans. It's a great family tradition and I can't wait to add these chips to the experience. Thanks, @Okku!
