The purpose of this thread is to identify custom chip sets made by PCF members for consideration into the 2020 PCF Hall of Fame. Pictures are highly encouraged, as some people don't keep tabs on all the sets that have been recently created. Please be detailed on the reasons WHY you think a certain set is worthy of consideration.

For eligibility, a set must have been revealed before 01Dec2018 to be considered for the CY2020 voting year (i.e., the one year cooling-off period was completed in CY2019). Note that a set is eligible for 4 voting years once it qualifies; however, one older "expired" set per year can be put up for a vote (i.e., to fix past omissions). This means that only one set revealed before 01Dec2015 can become eligible for the CY2020 vote.

Have fun!

I'll stump for the Sierras by @ruskba

It's a fairly unique style of inlay and I love it. I also love the use of the spot pattern on the $5, which is tough to pull off correctly. Awesome set all round.

There are two sets that are eligible this year I think are absolutely hall worthy.

@Psypher1000 and his Cavalry Club cash set. - Fantastic classic set with meticulous pron... I imagine that if we could turn the hands of time back to 1957, I could wander in to a casino and play this set. The spots, colors, and inlay reek of a time lost forever. He also stepped it up a notch with some stellar special bling commemoratives for fun. It is inspired by Horsehoe but the inlays are really what makes this great and are all his own. This really passes the eye test and not all sets need level 10 spots to make a splash. This is very well done. I like customs sets with attention to detail and complexity with inlays. Thirteen chips with half a dozen subtle differences in the inlays. Can't wait to play these...

The next set is @krafticus Krafty's SpeakEC tournament set. I normally don't get excited about tournament sets. It seems like most folks make a cash set first and then a companion tourney sets comes along after. Not this time...Mark put a lot of thought into these unique but classic inlays. I love the clock/time idea that makes the set just a little more special to folks from Maryland that would be lost on others. SpeakEC is a play on words and checks all the boxes....red denoms, check, nice progression, check, nice colors that work well together, check, classic look, check. These are really nice and deserve a shot at the HOF.

Every time I read "before 01Dec2018", it tilts me even more than staring at pics of @Changster's "customs". Can we please, for the love of Zeus, change this to 31Dec2018? And next year, to 31Dec2019? What's with the arbitrary cutoff date?

I'm just happy the dates not backwards for once. You Americans do it wrong lol.

I believe the cutoff date is just to let the hype for new sets die down and see if they still receive the same love a year later. I can see arguments for a cutoff and no cuttoff. Ultimately it doesn't matter, but it's how the original committee decided to do it.

Another set that I really love is the BCC club kaneda set on the mgk mold @TheDuke

I like the colour choices, the frac and $5 are awesome. I also love the clean and simple inlay layout. Nice set all round

These are nice and should surely be considered as a legacy set nomination. Great mold, nice inlay, colors and spots are well chosen.

I get the one year lag idea. Makes sense. If you want to get into the 2020 HOF, your set shouldn't have been made in 2019. Got it. What I don't get is the arbitrary additional 30 day lag added onto that one year lag requiring a set to be made prior to Dec 1st, 2018 instead of just anytime in 2018. If I had to guess, this probably happened because the first time someone decided to implement this lag, they made their post on Dec 1st of that year, and they just counted one year back from the post date, and this silliness has perpetuated ever since.

The tilt is real.

Do I sound like Larry yet? :ROFLMAO:

Ah I see. Yeah no idea where the 30 days came from lol.

Lol. Your welcome.

Damn you all.. I came here looking for pics of sweet chip sets, and all I see is blathering about dates and pics of Simpson clouds...

ps. RT, I agree with you about the dates, and man, those Kaneda's looks stellar (or steller)? :)

Hi all, stopping by to stump for 3 sets

Jokers casino by @stevea

This set is an a huge favorite for Ben and I, and from what I've seen hasnt gotten enough love! Shaped inlays always +1 for me, and I really dig the edgespot progression here.

Harlequin's by @H|Q

These are one of @Ben8257's favorite customs, we are both huge Qpie fans. I absolutely love the simplicity of the inlay, with the colors of the hat popping out at you. Also, all the love for $2 chips.

And Bill's haus of bluffs by @Chippy McChiperson

Finally, Bill's set. Hope to come across a sample some day, the colors are amazing. I know the amount of time and dedication Bill has put into his chips, and I have a ton of appreciation for that, as well as all the other members here who have dedicated their time and efforts to create unique masterpieces!

The jokers are very nice. I like them a lot, though I believe they are too recent for consideration this year.

Too early for these too, but they still deserve a mention as they are also cool and who doesn't love pron.

I know the ceramic bar is ultra high (only tree’s paymasters?) but I would like to stump again for a flawless ceramic tournament set - the Windy Crest customs of @CraigT78 . It’s extremely versatile and oh so classy.

-classy design by @p5woody
-monster set that can support 40+ people that love to rebuy - the pron below may not show all the add-ons. I think he’s got 5+ racks 25/100s
-oversized high denoms
-octagon bounty with a great rolling edge-you WILL want to knock out 4 people to proudly display “Windy Crest Poker Room” atop your stack
-plaques by Gunnar for the ultra high denoms
