Hey guys, happy Thursday!

I'm planning on placing my order for my DDLM set by Br Pro Poker, and just want to share what I had in mind to get, and would appreciate if you could let me know any critiques or POV's from your side. As placing this order will be my 1st big set and I won't probably be getting another one for some time so I want to make sure I make the right choice and don't have any regrets :)

Please note I structured this set so that I can utilize it both for as a Tourney set and a Cash set (400 pieces), and will fit them in my Nanuk 910 case.

The Tournament set is meant to accommodate 10 players, the Cash set is meant to accommodate 5-6 players.

Disclaimer:
*I'm aware one shouldn't use a set for BOTH Tournaments and Cash sets but I want to do so to have playing style 'options' and also as I'm playing with close friends mainly for fun (so trust issues are not of any real concern). Also as I'm traveling overseas and can't have for now two sets.
**I'm adjusting the Tournament set denominations and structure to fit a Cash set that I can utilize in Colombia (Colombian pesos currency).

Chip Bank:
- 100x $100
- 100x $500
- 100x $1,000
- 100x $5,000

- 10x $25,000 (Plaques)
- 5x $50,000 (Plaques)

*The plaques and their respective denominations, I mainly choose to help me with the Cash set adjusted to the Colombian peso currency (and tp help out in case of a crazy buy-in tournament)

-----------------------------

Tournament Set

T100 Tournament
Starting Stack: 25K
SS Structure: 10/8/10/2/x/x

For a 10 player tourney this structure should accommodate for at least 3 buy-ins per person, in case things go crazy.

Blind Structure:
100/200
200/300
200/400
300/600
400/800
600/1200
1000/1500
Break/Color-up 100 and 500
1000/2000
2000/3000
2000/4000
3000/6000
4000/8000
Break/Color-up 1000
5000/10000

-----------------------------

Cash Set

Cash Amount: 50K Colombian Pesos
Starting Stack: 50K
SS Structure: x/20/20/4/x/x
Blinds: 500/500

My chip bank of $900,000 allows for a total of 23 buy-ins ~ 3 additional re-buys per player (in a 5 player Cash game)

-----------------------------

My questions:

1) Is there anything wrong you see with either or both tournament/cash set structures?

2) Is there anything you would do differently?

I just want to make sure I have been able to find a solid structure that works well for both the Tournament and Cash set. In case there are problems with either, I'll look to adjust just for a Tournament set, and will probably also opt in for a T25 tournament set with a 10K SS.

Your insights are greatly appreciated!

1. Probably just that you could use chips more efficiently by dropping some 500s.

2. Drop the T100s and start a T500 base tournament.

Cash: You don't need a lot of 500s, so you can use those chips more efficiently in the set. I would go with starting stacks of 10/20/5, with rebuys in 5Ks first then 25Ks (with the following set, you can give 11 rebuys in 5Ks). The breakdown below allows for 6 people to each receive a starting stack as such. Your total bank will also be $3,250,000 unless you drop some of the 25Ks to get spares of lower denoms.

This leaves the tournament side. One option (and probably the one I'll go for when I get a custom set years from now when I'm out of college) is to choose a base T500 tournament. For 10 people, You can give starting stacks of 6/12/12/1 (T100K), which falls directly in line with the set below.

500/500
500/1000
500/1500
1000/2000
1500/3000
Break - Color Up 500s - End Rebuys
2K/4K
3K/6K
4K/8K
6K/12K
8K/16K
Color Up 1Ks
10K/20K
15K/30K
20K/40K
30K/60K
40K/80K (estimated EOT)
60K/120K
80K/160K
100K/200K…

This tournament is a bit deeper than yours, but should last around the same time. You might also see fewer rebuys because of the depth.

60x 500
120x 1000
120x 5000
100x 25K (you can drop a few to get spares, you only need 90 even if each player rebuys in the tournament twice).

Appreciate you getting back to me @TheRealStephen12 !

May I ask you why you would rather choose a T500 set over a T100 one?

In my particular scenario, it would actually allow for a bigger Cash set (for the Colombian peso currency) which is a plus :)

But just curious on what the pros/cons when comparing a T500 and T100 set...

The value of the smallest chip you start with (T25, T100, etc.) is largely personal preference. Your blinds are mostly fine. I would make these changes.

Drop 200-300

1000/1500-->800-1600
Break/Color-up 100
1000/2000
2000/3000-->1500-3000
Then color up 500s

For a personal set, just because it's fewer chips. For you specifically, because of the cash lineup. If you were offering 100/200 or 200/400 cash, I would have stuck with the T100.

I'll send you pictures of my dice chips when I get home.
