listen, you could have found a gif from a 1997 Angel fire site and I would be clapping with your creative amazement. But since you didnt and started hand creating letters, let's continue that road.

Another thing I realized is that I had severely overlooked how important font was. Maybe more important than the inlay logo itself. I was so obsessed with figuring out imagery, that I didn't realize having a good font could make or break an inlay no matter how nice the artwork was. Casa Mango is a prime example of a font that I really love that matched well to the art style.

I think we talked about this at some point. The typography should set the tone for the design work. Its the first stop after the theme for me. It should also be the last adjustment as well.
