CDC, in accordance with its guidance for large events and mass gatherings, recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.

Events of any size should only be continued if they can be carried out with adherence to guidelines for protecting vulnerable populations, hand hygiene, and social distancing. When feasible, organizers could modify events to be virtual.

This recommendation does not apply to the day to day operation of organizations such as schools, institutes of higher learning, or businesses. This recommendation is made in an attempt to reduce introduction of the virus into new communities and to slow the spread of infection in communities already affected by the virus. This recommendation is not intended to supersede the advice of local public health officials.

Anyone worried about Coronavirus?
Sure am. Yep.

But I ain't locking myself in. I got a family to feed and house. My employer is still scheduling shifts as normal. I will continue to work them, as normal.

If I run out of TP, fuck it. Back to basics. Ive spent countless months in 3rd world countries that had NO TP or running water, and I got along.

Sure I'm worried, I've had H1N1, pneumonia, and numerous scary and tough bouts with bronchitis.

Gotta keep living though. Not much choice.

EDIT : if it does do me in, after I contract it, I'm HEAVILY insured and wife and kid will be set up.

I’m sure most have seen that some casinos are suspending operations. Think this will push it to all.

As a photographer who operates a wedding photography studio in the middle of wedding season it is a bit scary seeing the CDC specifically recommending the cancelations of weddings for the next 8 weeks. We had three weddings to photograph this weekend and all went well, but had already been scrambling to reschedule several weddings and fully expect a lot more calls and emails this week. I would say the attendance was down 20-40% with an equivalent amount of empty chairs this weekend. Next weekend and looking forward through April looks grim. We will be okay but this is going to destroy quite a few other small businesses in our niche industry and others related to weddings.

No more new chips for me for a while :(

I’m stuck in MA with family at the moment and the MA state governor banned gatherings today of larger then 25 people. All my travel to CA has been cancelled and I feel like the only way I can safely get home is to rent a car one way and drive back to NC. Casinos closed. Grocery stores here are insane, hearing the same thing back home as well. This is terrible.
