The color match @Gear did was perfect! I'm loving the look of these as I apply all these labels.

Well priced, high quality, great communication from Chris @Gear !

Sexy result!
Too bad Horseshoe didn't call @Gear in the first place, he did it better than they did
For security reasons I don't completely understand Ohio has a requirement that the inlay background specifically must not match the surrounding chip color. The difference in the original was intentional.

Completely agree, but if Horseshoe and Paulson wanted them to match, they would have matched.

Does Nevada have the same regulation that prevents color matching? Because there are TONS of inexact color "matched" inlays on Paulson chips in Nevada.

I don't know. Nevada gaming law is somewhat foreign to me. I wouldn't be surprised though as many of Ohio's laws were drawn on those from Nevada as a starting point and then updated with requirements from other "late to the casino party" states.

I wrote down my thoughts on this in a different thread.

TL;DR -- the inlays don't match because it's too expensive and/or time-consuming to make them match. Nothing to do with regulations.

If I had the money, I would have @Gear relabel all of my chip sets, with fresh labels, color matching, etc..., to make them all look better :)

Lol, do they have to be milled first? Or did you do the labeling yourself?

The prevailing wisdom says:

If you go with unlaminated stickers, you can put them directly over the existing inlay.

For hotstamps, you should always mill, but then you can put a nice laminated sticker in the (now pronounced) recess.

This is incredible news as milling gets expensive. Does anyone know how @Dr. Matt did them cause they look fantastic?

I vote label over too.

If milled the label would sit in the second recess where the original inlay sits. In this case the the laminated label is larger and sits flush with the chip face or ever so slightly recessed still in the first recess.

I guess if labeled over you would also be able to go back to original in the future for whatever reason if you so pleased which is also a plus. I am sold. Now someone hook me up with some snappers!!!!!!!!! Please?

No milling necessary for the unlaminated. Just stuck them on. They do not sit proud/cause spinners. I don't remember the exact price, but maybe 10 cents per label, around $20 for a rack??
