Sitting Out
From time to time, I will update this thread with things from my casino memorabilia collection.
I will also share articles from my Las Vegas news website www.cyinterview.com.
I only have one barrel of chips in quantity. I have always been more of a single collector. Though my collection is small, it does have a few good things in it.
Here's my first casino chip/memorabilia story for you guys:
To begin, one of my favorite and most rare chips is the Moulin Rouge $100 Can Can pictured below from 1955. An uncancelled version sold for $2500 in 2013. I paid around $300 in 2019 for this cancelled one.
.
According to numerous chip experts, it's the best variation of the cancelled one they have ever seen. Others believe there are only about four examples each of both the cancelled and non-cancelled version. I've only ever seen one other cancelled version and it looked in rough shape.
The history of the Moulin Rouge has always interested me. So, that's my first post.
Feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments.
