Sweet, so this is where TCR is selling his chips now? Lol. I expect he'll be selling the first rack of each via auction to "set the price" then he'll be trying to sell through all of them at that whatever that price lands on... Lol. He cleared over half a mil from PCFers last go around. I guess that wasn't enough.

Not at all Trav. The last sale on PCF was nutzo, so until he figures something out to sell here, eBay is the only way to unload his inventory while giving everyone an equal shot at it.

We did it to ourselves. Check out the Native Lights thread.

WOW! This is the most hypocritical post I've ever seen on PCF. You're considered the most prevalent flipper here and you're likely part of the reason he's seen fit to go to eBay and eschew what effectively has been a discount he's given to a loyal chip community for over 10 years....but as others alluded to, part of the problem is also the incessant whining that some members can't seem to refrain from when being presented with a gift horse with an immaculate set of teeth.

What the fuck dude?

GTFO with that attitude, it has no place on a community forum, ESPECIALLY when talking about someone who brings these chips TO US CHIPPERS FROM THE CASINOS.

I would imagine so. I'd also imagine that the community would want to determine who ruined it for everyone with the flipping and $500s and self police them via calling them out publicly.

The community doesn't give a fuck honestly, they're just disappointed that there weren't more $500's to go around. If there was 2000 of them (which reasonably we could assume?) then LOTS of people would have got them and there would have been NO PROBLEM no matter what style of purchasing they used.

He posted in the Native Lights thread that he was going to list on eBay tonight before he listed them there.
Got engaged this weekend, didn’t read through the whole thread, just assumed he would have started a sale info thread or something. These auction prices have gotten out of hand already haha

wow. one rack at a time. :(

guess i need to find a different $5 chip for my mixed set. too bad. really liked the $5 Tonkawas.

Congrats! It's been speculated that he is using this as a tester balloon to set the price for the following sales with a BIN. Way too risky for me if I had to duke it out one rack at a time. Glad I'm on the sidelines for the Tonk. I wanted the NL secondary $5s badly for my mixed set, though. I think I'm hosed with this method :(

Congrats on the engagement. I expect people will bid these up, end up overpaying and the prices will drop over time.

i dont know. he did say there were fewer chips in the "next 2 sets". i was thinking he was going to sell 300/400/500 chip sets. was planing on buying 2 sets (FOR THE $5s) then selling off the rest. SOL on that plan.

Not that I was interested, but jeesh, over $300 for a rack of the hundos and several days left. At those profits, no reason for Jim to ever sell on PCF. Man oh man.

That’s what I mean by the prices won’t last.

Before we used to see them get snapped up cheaply in Jim’s sales and then increase to their market value. This time around people will panic bid the prices up and then I expect the prices will drop down to true market value in the next 6-12 months.

Good for Jim I guess. In the long term I think those that want these chips will still get them, but will just have to wait a bit longer.

Why would the anybody spend over $300 rack and then sell them for less? This will be the new market price for these chips.

It will be the market price at the time of their release, but prices change based on supply and demand.

Right now there is only one rack available so people pay top dollar. I’d almost guarantee that the first rack sells for a higher price than the rest.

Sentiment is driving the prices up.

Yeah me too We are being punished for others actions. and the others have to pay extra post. pffft

Try living here - were punished every chip we buy. $40US dollars per hundred to get a sfrbox here.

I can see why the 2 who stuffed it for the rest of us want to remain anonymous.

Those 500's would be a poison chalice. and you could never sell em...

I see you're still hard at work, trolling away. Life must be grand for you out there in MA. (y)

You find any buyers for those Dunes yet?

Why shouldn't he? Jim's done us a great service in the past, offering us great chips and no doubt leaving money on the table. And all he gets for his troubles is a bunch of whiners and complainers, and people trying to tell him how to do his job.

I say good for him, let him test the eBay waters and maximize his profits. Maybe, just maybe if he ever comes back here to sell a set in the future, people will be grateful and won't tard up his sales threads.

Saw this coming, as far as I'm concerned good for Jim, time he made closer to market value for all his work rather than having to listen to all the gripes/complaints after giving "all of us" incredible price breaks for years. The flippers can't capitalize on them as much now so the chips are more likely to get in the hands of people who want them to use/play (even though at a higher price).

While sad to see the end of an era, I think the forum probably got what was coming after the last ChipRoom sale thread.
