What has been your experience owning ceramics? Which mfg has the highest quality? Fewest spinners or variations in color? Durabilit?

I've only got a sample set of Tina's, but I can say with 500 SunFly chips and 600 BRPros I haven't gotten a single spinner. The BRPro ones have some slight variations in image quality, some of the lines on them are slightly fuzzier than others, but it's not something you can spot without closely inspecting a chip. The SunFlys are hybrid, so I couldn't comment on their face image quality. I like the feel of hybrids a bit better personally.

Tina ceramics give the best color saturation but with the trade off of a more slippery feel and spinners, whereas BRPro colors aren’t as vibrant/saturated but have zero spinner issues (stack and slide stacks better) and have a better feel IMO

I recently picked up 500 from poker merchant. I was impressed with their quality. No dimples and one slight spinner. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am looking to pick up another set and would like to diversify designs with a different supplier. Any advice will help.

I have a very positive experience owning ceramics. You really get a lot of bang for your buck with them. I own both a BR Pro set and a Cards Molds set from Tina, and am very happy with both. I would give the quality edge to BR Pro, but when it comes to fully customizable, especially with aligned edge spots, then Tina definitely wins out on price. I have a textured No Mold set from Tina on the way across the Pacific Ocean right now, which shows how I am currently voting with my wallet. However, if I had a design that did not need edge spots aligned with the art on the front, I’d be very happy to go back to BR Pro. Unaligned edge spots are a complete nonstarter to me, though, and would be even if they were the cheapest option.

I just purchased 1700 ceramic chips from Br Pro. I haven’t found a single spinner. The quality of the printing is excellent. I found only one chip that has one side printed off center.

I love my Tina no molds. For the price I am very happy with them, even with spinners. However the new Greek mold is a game changer. The sample sold me. My next set will be 1100 of the Greek mold.

+1 for BRPro

The only con with ceramics is that they are not clay, yes I know it begs the question  :ROFLMAO:;)

It's a very personal choice.

IMO the Tina ceramic hybrids have the best color, BR Pro ceramics have the best original designs, and Apache china clay have the best feel.

I recommend buying samples and deciding for yourself, but if you are planning to take a shot in the dark, since you have some ceramics already, I would go china clay.

As others have said, get samples! If you’re going to drop some decent money on a good set of chips, a $10 sample set should be the least of your worries.

The only way you’ll know is when you have them in your hand.

I have a 1000 chips so far from Br Pro. No spinners and as other members said they stack like bricks and require no maintenance which is a huge plus in my opinion. Br Pro also has a great customer service team so I would order again for sure!

All that being said I am still in the process of building a Paulson set. Nothing beats them in my opinion but ceramics certainly hit the wallet a bit easier and provide ultimate customization.

Can’t go wrong with any of the top ceramics manufactures and from what I hear the “TINA” chips are still flying of the shelves….

Has anyone ever tried the ceramics or hybrids from CPC?
As disclosed elsewhere on this forum, CPC's ceramics/hybrids are Sun-Fly

If I understand correctly they'll work with you to get custom inlays, colors, etc... but it'll be a Sun-Fly chip. I'm not aware of any other companies which are intermediaries like this, or if it's even possible to get custom chips from Sun-Fly directly.
