Hi All. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with GTO Wizard (gtowizard.com) or Jonathan Little's pokercoaching.com? What are the pros and cons of each? How did you like the experience, and was it useful in improving your game to the next level? Was it worth the money, and would you recommend it, or are there other resources out there that are similar but more affordable? Thanks so much for any comments or feedback!

GTO Wizard seems to have become the industry standard. I took out a paid subscription a few years ago in prep for the WSOP and it was extremely helpful. I would not recommend it (or really any solvers) for beginners though. I think you need to have a decent grasp of the game (and ideally already be a winning player) for it to be worthwhile. Almost all sites have promos where you can try out the paid versions for a period of time (week to a month depending on the sites). I am not a huge fan of Jonathan Little, but I do think his site is better for most beginners especially if you are close to a break even/slightly losing player.

I have a free membership on Poker Coaching.com (Jonathan Little). It has a lot of free stuff, including quizzes, partial access to some courses, and full access to a few beginner training courses. Every few months there is full access to the entire course catalog for a few days, as an enticement to sign up for the "Premium" membership. Its possible to download quite a bit of free material during these promotional windows.

I don't play enough poker at high enough stakes that the GTO Wizard or Premium membership would be worth the cost. YMMV. I have found that the course content has shifted over the last couple of years to be incredibly GTO-centric. Where previous content was based on fundamentals (pot odds, bluff frequency, etc.), it now seems that everything is viewed through a GTO lens. That may be all well and good for higher stakes games (IMO), but it adds a lot of complexity, the need for extensive chart memorization (and there's a TON of GTO charts for every conceivable situation), and may not be the best approach for your average .25/.50 or 1/2 donk fest.

GTOWizard is good for when youre playing against very capable opponents, but IMO for nl25-nl500 youre better off playing exploitatively and not really worrying about balancing yourself, you should check out hungry horse and benabadbeat on youtube.
