Supposedly it was Mexico's biggest casino. Looks like they opened in 06 and closed around 2014 due to gaming being illegal in Mexico from what I read. The relabel is puzzling for sure

In trying to guess how many of each denom exist, it would help to know what these chips were used for. For some reason, I was thinking this was originally a tournament set. Like maybe Full Tilt did a live series. But the cash denoms belie that.. "No cash value" chips were the tournament standard when Full Tilt existed, right? So these are actually cash chips? Full Tilt certainly wasn't running a shitload of cash tables anywhere. Maybe promotional chips, for home use, right? But I can't buy that either, because nobody was cranking out oversized paulsons for home use ever (at least not until recently.) So that's a mystery.
And then what did these chips become? Who was Casino Kash? They put stickers on each and every chip of some huge set? For what purpose?
These chips are a giant mystery to me. Does anybody know the truth?
This seems like a dead end: http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=MXCUCK&v=627796358
Well GPI production is in Mexico. Maybe with the Jack Detroit sale Jim made some connections. Maybe these fell off a truck or GPI has figured out a way to double dip.

These chips are a giant mystery to me. Does anybody know the truth?

Just making an Occam's Razor prediction here, I guess GPI made a set for Full Tilt that was never paid for and sat in a warehouse, Kash asked, 'do you have anything in the same size but cheaper?' and GPI were like, 'lol you can take this trash if you want,' and they did and relabeled. Full Tilt were probably ordering a set just to have one around and were probably thinking 'well we could use this for cash OR tournaments, eh?'

Only mystery is what did they use for dollar chips? The $50 so worn makes me think they were used as pesos but why did they print the dollar sign on the label, then? Then again I don't know if the peso symbol is really used or if pesos are even used there so maybe this is where I pass the ball.

So I did a little bit of digging. I'm sure this is totally wrong, but just my guess from 30 minutes of searching around.

The owners of the Kash casino in Mexico were based in the US. Sounds like gaming in Mexico is the wild west and they had no license which was the whole reason they got shut down. With that in mind, they probably couldn't order any chips from GPI with a Kash inlay. The casino was slot machines and sports betting. Can't find anywhere at all that says they had table games.

The only hint of poker is on this site that says Mexico Poker Tour from Aug 4th to 30th, 2011: https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/venues/kash-casino-1260

Shows no rankings so I'm guessing maybe the tourneys didn't even happen.

My guess is these were Full Tilt cash chips originally and the owners wanted to try out poker (they were the only US based casino that was somehow doing well despite the legality issues in Mexico) so they somehow bought or had access to these full tilt chips and relabeled them for the tournament. The US based owners had gaming establishments here in the US so maybe one of them was related to full tilt and no longer in action.

Doesn't really say much about quantity though even if any of that is correct

Any chance of stack/rack pics to give a better idea of condition?

The chips are in very good to like new condition. The $5, $25 and $50 show the most wear, but still in very good casino condition, edges just starting to round. The $100 are in excellent condition and the $500 up are in like new condition

Jim has always understated the condition of his chips, so I would not worry about it (understand the question tho)

Wow. Mexican Paulson chips. All the ones I've seen down here have been crappy plastic and ceramics (and cheap fantasy chips for tournaments!)

Low counts for the $5s? I assume that means these were pesos and not dollars?

Any idea what shipping to Mexico would be for a few hundred chips?

@TheChipRoom I know you don't give chip counts out pre-sales, but you have given indications in the past of how hard it was going to be to get chips.

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most difficult (and lightning fast ninja clicking required), how hard do you think it will be for someone to put together a tournament set that includes T50 though T5000s?
Either way, thanks again for bringing great chips to the community!

Thanks
Grant
I am no expert, but I’ve watched and participated in my share of chiproom sales.

1. the chips are in good-excellent condition.

2.the chips are pretty low priced.
=
3. I bet there’s a fair amount of chips.

The only thing I will say is that they couldn't find about half of the chips. They just disappeared?!?! so some denominations don't have as much as they should have in a normal casino breakdown

Thanks for the explanation, appreciate it. It's too bad it has to be the high denoms.

Excited to see what these look like in barrels so I can decide if I need to be doing fast click drills before the weekend. ;)

Lawdddd. GL all! Those white chips are even better than I thought in stacks

Jim, any chance we can see one chip of each on top of the racks face up, some were harder to see then others in the opening pics. I told myself I was done buying and started selling and now Im doomed again! Just want to see if I should snag racks of each or just buy the high demons for a relabel murder! God those white chips are calling me!

You make it sound so easy! I want to put a set together but my expectations are low having been through enough of these sales. Sometimes you get shutout but sometimes you score..
Yea, I really have no envisions about getting a set together off if it, but I do believe the lower denoms will be easier to get then the whites. They are harder to get a feel for tho, with the black label its just hard to see the whole chip on some of them. Would like some more details, this said the rack pics are so much better then the first pic. IDK why I havent deleted my account yet... eventually my wife is going to catch on to all this!
