To summarize, it just relates to the color of the hearts and diamonds, it is not an added security feature (like a pattern when exposed to UV lighting). Thanks for the link.

It is technically a security feature, but not for us. Nothing fancy, just a name and a shade for us. Some people prefer brighter red, others like darker red.
