Totally agree with this. Are these going to be card mold or ceramic? If going that route you can really do some amazing colors/spot patterns.Very bland colors, and the 'lodge' is too small for my preference, especially with the thin elephant lines behind it.
Yeah, i wanted to use these bland/"earthy" Colors. I think they fit better for a Safari-themed Set than bright popping colors.Very bland colors, and the 'lodge' is too small for my preference, especially with the thin elephant lines behind it.
Come on, man.. now i cant unsee the hands holding a spineThe elephant is off, to me. Looks like a pair of hands holding a spine. I think the concept has potential, though.
Wonderful set! Thanks for the link. The user @Perthmike designed a banger custom CPC set, themed “Motswari Lodge”. Super amazing chips.
Figured you could use it as inspiration or a few design cues. Reach out the creator, he’s been around recently, and maybe could help you in the right direction with your idea.
If you search “motswari” , it’ll come up with some good pr0n you can see
Great idea. Good luck with it!
I thought about different animals on denoms. Maybe the Big 5: Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Rhinoceros. Still unsure as i wanted just that one logo. Maybe.. i´ll think about it. Thanks!I like the theme. I agree the 'tribal' elephant could use some improvement.
If doing a safari theme, I would consider having various animals on different denoms, even if just one side. It's a ton more work though.
Didn't know about the motswari ones. Awesome chips and silhouettes - would have gone different than a chameleon and toucan - but otherwise amazing.
Yes, it will be a Cards Mold. Always wanted to have a (cheap) Set of Card Mold or maybe the "new" Top Hat & Cane.Totally agree with this. Are these going to be card mold or ceramic? If going that route you can really do some amazing colors/spot patterns.
Thanks! I will try the lined-up Style aswell.I like the look and the base & spot colors!
One thing I'd comment on is the number font -- the way the 5 sticks below the line, or as I found out is called a "decender" or "oldstyle" font numbers. Found one source where it says the use is preffered in sentences (running text). I think it looks a bit out of place as a denomination on a chip, and I'd prefer the 'lined-up' style of the numbers font, where they're all the same height and aligned the same top & bottom.
I like the one on the right as well. I know you were wanting to stay away from multiple inlays, but,if ever a set is screaming for multiple inlays is this one, IMHO. Elephant, lion, zebra, rhino. Maybe pairs of tigers and zebras.waot, what's the plural of zebra?
Dang yes, those look amazing. Lion has to be highest denom.
So i tried to find another Elephant Logo.. because of the "Hands holding a spine"-comment.

I know that LODGE is still not looking good. I will look for another font for that.

I tried another Route with the Text + Animals. Still not happy with, but i think this is a better way.I think you should find a way to not have so much visual conflict between the animal, the denom and the words. There are great ways to fit all three without just slapping them on top of each other.
Yes, i just randomly put some different colors + Edgespots together. I will work on that ofc. I like getting feedback - i tend to just make a design and stay with it. I had Anita make so many different Samples for me and everytime i thought "pls, take more time to look at your own design." there is always something i dislike after 5 hrs.. so its really nice to have people give me some feedback.I really dig the colors in the OP. The 5k colors feel off to me but I'm not sure why.
Also, it's great that you are asking for (and getting) feedback. Lots of talented eyes around here. But these are yours and you are the only one who has be to 100% satisfied with the final result. If you love the inlay in the OP - go for it!
Looking forward to watching this one progress.
I don’t know though, there’s something about that subtle gradient to the animal colors and the simple one color text that just gives it a “wow” factor to me. And I really really like those animals and graphics. When I saw that, I said out loud “These are going to be cool”.
Yeah, I like the gradient too. But the Picture looks way better than the final result. I had a Gradient sample produced at Anita and it looked garbage. It was something like orange fading into yellow, then a big black border and then again the fade into yellow. Don’t know what happened there.
I will talk to them to make some samples.
First thought: These are cool afSoo...
Messing around with Colors. "Earthy"/"Safari"-Colors. Nothing that really pops out. Please leave your thoughts.

First thought: These are cool af
Second thought after all of 15 seconds: don’t know if it would look cool or tacky, but what if the color scheme of each chip matched the animal on the inlay. Black and white for the zebra, gold and brown for the giraffe. The lion seems to be doing that kinda now. Might be tough with so many gray or brown animals lol
