Can someone help me by turning a AI file to svg or stl for me for someone else? (1 Viewer)

Someone asked me to help them with a 3d model and supplied an AI file of the artwork to put on the model. I tried a few applications and everything turned out like complete crap. The resolution was terrible and I don't know what I'm doing.
Can anyone help translate a file for me for him?

Try renaming the .ai to .pdf and see if you can open it that way.

Do you have Inkscape? I've been able to import AI files that way.
