and one for science.
Spinettis just posted that they have some for sale.
Yeah, and I never understood their markup strategy or rationale, either. $2 markup on $1 chips, but a $3 markup on $5 chips, and a whopping $10 markup on $25 chips?
I can understand slight markups on higher denom chips on eBay since they take 13% on the overall price but yeah $3 is a smidge more of a markup than I’d like to pay on live $5s and $10s way more than I’d pay on a live $25. Ideally looking to pay no more than $2 markup per chip for 20 chipsYeah, and I never understood their markup strategy or rationale, either. $2 markup on $1 chips, but a $3 markup on $5 chips, and a whopping $10 markup on $25 chips?
Pricing based on rarity and/or supply/demand is certainly understandable, but these are all live chips -- why does is cost five times as much to harvest a $25 chip from the casino vs harvesting a $1 chip?? They should all be either $2 markups or $10 markups (whatever makes business/profit margin sense), but scaling markup amounts to the denomination size/value is just nutty.
I’m curious if these have a recess that will take an unlaminated @Gear label, they appear to.I need two $5 chips -- one for the collection, and one for science.
Yep, that, and how much they are charging baseline for decor ring chips with no added security features. Asking for a friend....I’m curious if these have a recess that will take an unlaminated @Gear label, they appear to.

Unlaminated? Cut that inlay out and go laminated!I’m curious if these have a recess that will take an unlaminated @Gear label, they appear to.
^ same-syI never thought I’d see the day that a RHC chip ruined a lineup...
if anybody is headed to Vegas before late September I’d take a 1, 2.50 (6/5 black jack), $4, $5, and $25. A $10 and $20 if they have those, too.
The cost to carry a $25 chip in inventory is 25x the cost of a $1 chip and $5x the cost of a $5 chip. His markups actually decrease as a % of face (cost) as the denoms increase, from 200% to 60% to 40%. (Hope my calculations are accurate.) Seems like standard business practice to me.Yeah, and I never understood their markup strategy or rationale, either. $2 markup on $1 chips, but a $3 markup on $5 chips, and a whopping $10 markup on $25 chips?

Working on this now. Friend is going there as we speak.
2x 1 / 17x $5 / 1x $25 please and thank you!Working on this now. Friend is going there as we speak.
Yay! Thank you!Update. He got a few chips. Got shut down at most avenues. I tried giving him some chipper tricks lol. I'll have a few spares 1s and 5s, and a single $25 for @ReallyGoodUsername
He said he was getting shut down whenever he asked to buy any quantity. Don't know what he was saying, I gave him as much advice as I could. I told him to go to the poker room and get a couple hundred in chips, mostly 5s and then some 20 to 30 ones for "tipping". Not sure how that went.Yay! Thank you!
Did he mention why it was difficult? I have no idea what games are at Strat but would think $1-$25 is used on nearly every table game and I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult at all yet I've only seen 1-2 sellers so far with $1-$5 available in quantity
I have a guy that got me a rack of ones, should be here Saturday. He said there were none in the poker room yet. He had a hard time getting a whole rack but is going to try and go back and get some more when they hit the poker room.Yay! Thank you!
