Love that white chip with the spots.

Seems like anyone can open a card room in CA. (or at least apply for the license) There are/were so many. Sounds like a possible way to order chips from Paulson. What's the min order? 100K pieces?

How do these small card room manage to get Paulson chips, I thought they had a minimum order of 100,000 chips? Surely they don't have that many chips?

I'm working on it. I've got a start on the missing barrels. The $1s can be found, but the $5s and $20s are few and far between. I'll get those racks squared up eventually. :)

As best I can determine, no $100 chip exists for this set. I've got my eye on some possible chips that match the Paulson 16 spots of the rest of the chips. Considering doing a inlay replacement to make some hundos. A more appealing option is creating an MSK plaque for the $100. That could come out looking very cool.
I think you should go the plaque route

Something I've wondered also about Australia. Technically you can open a poker room aslong as there is no charge to players (rake) so you do not need a gaming licence. I know of 2 places that have open poker rooms without issue but they have ceramics. The casino has tried to get them closed but has had no luck making it happen.

Depends on the County. Certain counties have a maximum number of licenses that they'll hand out. You have to line the politicians' pockets to get a license, that and offer up your daughters like Lot.

The Post, San José
Opened less than a year (1972 I believe)
They're BJ chips (not to confuse with bud jones) I believe too. Diameter of the chip a bit larger than Paulson standard size.
Some ecperts will correct me if Im wrong

BJ or CJ... Christy Jones. Christy Jones are the original hat and cane mold.

@AfterTheFact spinettis must love you ;) Mikko tried selling me some of the 25¢ once but I passed because they were red and would've clashed with my $5s. Might've got some if I knew the had orange 50¢ ones.

I've few of them and needs some of the $5 to finialize my set (60, or a least 40...) but unfortunatly, Spinettis is out of stock on the $5 for a few days. I'll try to add a "wanted" classified for this.

These chips are really nice.

Congrats to AfterTheFact !

Here're the few Cali chips I've. Still looking to complete the The Post.
They are in great shape but I've still to wash and oil them.

I've never seen a full rack of Cali Bells that didn't look like they were buried in the desert for three years. Pity. One of the best inlay/spot combos from cali imo.

Some chips from Stones Gambling Hall. I got a $2 chip from the tavern playing Blackjack while waiting for a 1/2 table. Apparently they don't usually give those out since they are used for the bank to pay the gambling facility. CA has some weird rules.

The chip on the left I kept after my first MTT and is what they use at the cash tables. I have considered harvesting a couple racks...

Below shows the color of the $2 better. Not sure what paulson color that is, but they look neon.
